  • Easy, roomy, well-made affordable oasis from the bugs!
This mosquito tent is absolutely incredible, everything I need to have a safe, outdoor experience free from insect bites and stings. It is huge and roomy enough for two large upholstered low-back chairs, a rug, and a small table inside with plenty of leg room. I am chilling out in it right now penning this review, and I am laughing at the mosquitoes hovering on the other side of the net unable to get at me. The tent came in a groovy teal bag and was carefully bound so as not to suddenly unfurl when it was removed from its carrier. Once we took off the banding strap -- pop, we had an instant mosquito tent. Couldn't have been easier. The zippers are not industrial strength, but as long as we're careful, they should last. They are sewn into the netting with quality reinforcement, and there is no sign of strain even with how often I come and go. We laid down a protective mat on the wooden deck, then put the tent on top, then laid a large mat and rug inside, thus protecting the netting from getting snagged on the wood. The door was large enough for us to haul in these comfy cushioned chairs. It's like having a miniature screened-in porch for the cost of a meal out! I love this tent!! We'll likely purchase more for use during travel. ... show more

  • best purchase ever
i am so scared of wasps/bees and i mean like terrified. yes its unrealistic but i do love the outdoors and being outside.. But as soon as i hear a buzz i flee the scene. well with this thingp that has all changed! it’s big enough to lay in comfortably. some ants were able to get through the bottom but that’s the least of my concern. the scary wasps were bouncing off as i was safe and sound inside of my little tent. super easy set up as it literally just pops up. the breakdown was easy as well, just takes a little wiggling. zippers are good, nice and breathable. spacious and awesome! 10/10 i highly recommend!!! ... show more

  • Bug Free Nights
My dream is a screened in porch but until then this is a cheap gem find! This is perfect so I can sit outside without getting eaten by mosquitos. It is an A frame so I can stand in the middle fully upright. I am 5'5". This is not for tall folks to walk around- You get in and sit. It is also made of delicate net so again -just get to your spot and sit. Be careful not to snag with the zipper either. BTW it has lasted in the wind and rain since I have a heavy plant in there. I feel like I can get a few summers out of it if I am careful. I think I will find outdoor cushions and do it up harem style instead of the chairs. all in all worth the $ to not have itchy bites. ... show more

  • Did the job
We purchased this for a home in Puerto Rico that we're staying in while remodeling it. We would often leave the windows open. Some of them didn't have screens yet, so we were looking for a solution to guarantee we would not be bothered by bugs at night. We were sleeping on a queen size air mattress with a memory foam topper. We first tried putting the mattress and topper inside, but it didn't allow enough headroom. Once we switched to only the topper inside, it worked well. Definitely zero issues with any kind of bugs and we were still able to feel a good breeze with a fan. There was plenty of room for the queen size topper. I'm 6'1" and had no problems with fit at all. It is extremely fast and easy to set up. It basically just pops up. It was a little trickier to break down, but after doing it a couple of times I got the hang of it. This was a great solution for us. ... show more

  • In Theory This is Amazing, in practice....
Man this is such a great idea. We used it to keep mosquitos away from my baby while she was playing outside. It worked great for that. Until the zipper came flying off. The issue with this is there is nothing stopping the zipper from coming off when you close it. No stopper like jackets have or like sleeping bags. Once the zipper flew off and we couldn't get it back on it was useless after that which was sad cause it was amazing for keeping bugs out and a good size. ... show more

  • Works Well - With a Few "Bugs"
After waking up with 18 bites, I tried a repellent but I couldn't fall asleep because I couldn't stand the smell. I looked into mosquito nets & decided on this one because I didn't want to drill a hole in the ceiling, then climb up a ladder to take it down. This net works very well, but the instructions could have been more detailed & that would have saved me frustration. When I finally got the net set up the first time, I didn't like it. The frame didn't reach all the way to the end of the bed - it stopped short a couple of inches on the front and back. After crawling to the front of the bed to get out, I decided to turn the net around & realized it fit great that way & the two zippered exits were on the sides of the net where they should be. For us "mechanically challenged" people, that should probably be included in the instructions. I was able to get some sleep the second night. When it's hot, I sleep with a fan running on "Low." I had concerns about the net blocking air from getting to me, but that concern wasn't needed; the air got to me almost as if there was no net. I recommend using a night light in case you need to get out of bed in the middle of the night (like most of us older guys). A few minor cons: The bottom netting (that you normally sleep on) is a little rough on the skin, but tonight I'm going to put a sheet over it & I think it will be perfect. The instructions say it can be cut off, but I wouldn't do that because it may leave small openings where insects could get in. It's difficult to find the zippers in complete darkness. I'm going to attach a lanyard on the zippers to make them easier to grab. Perhaps they should also be included - maybe ones that glow in the dark. Or Velcro closures with pull tabs would be easier & more durable than zippers. The frames should be more "springy." Mine don't open without help. The net does stay open, however. A very good product, well worth the money if it holds up to repeated use. ... show more
