This is like the perfect travel power strip converter for going out of the country. I never thought about it before honestly, that other countries have different shapes and types of plugs for all their devices. Not until I was put in that position. The last thing you would want to happen to you when traveling abroad is getting to a hotel room tired and beat and needing to charge your devices when you then find out you can't. And you won't be able to the entire vacation. I would say your vacation is ruined. Everything you bought from home would be no good to you now. Even that special camera you brought. This particular power strip converter is what they call a type E/F Europe plug adapter and according to their listing, it can be used in most European countries, such as Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Portugal, Turkey, Iceland, and Finland. It plugs right into their outlets and converts it for you so you can then charge up all your devices you brought from home. It has 3 3-foot extension cord on it. And then 6 of what I call the standard power plugs here in the United States that almost everything used to have. Nowadays we are using USB ports more and more. And this one comes with 2 A-type USB ports and 1 C-type USB port. So, 9 devices in total can be charged at once on this power adapter. I would like to have this exact power strip right here in the U.S. I love the shape, the number of devices you can charge, and how the 3 USB ports are up on top like they are. It is made with good hardy material as well. And there is a place on the back of it that allows you to hang it up and get it up off the ground if you want. I bought several international adaptors prior to my trip abroad, concerned that I'd arrive and not have the appropriate adaptor(s) for my electronics (1st mistake). After only carrying the small plug in ones in my carry on, and trying to find plugs in restaurants, airports, shops, cars. etc. I was ready to get to the Air BnB, unpack and recharge. (2nd mistake) The first thing I did was grab one of the adapters, go to the kitchen and try to charge my mini vaccum/blower for my garmet bags. This was my last mistake, right after I made the connection and heard/felt/saw a loud POP from attempting to charge my mini electric blower into one of those adapter I will not mention that I purchased on Amazon for a reasonable amount but MORE than this European Travel Plug Adapter. Now 2 of the mini adapters were broken (one totally fried and black), my mini pump was burnt and I still needed to charge my phone. Leary to try anything else, let alone plug up my iPhone, I plugged up this extension cord to my OLD iPad and viola, it instantly negan to charge. I took another gamble and added the travel android phone and no issues still. I later unplugged everything else and shortly I was fully charged on my iPhone as well without so much as a buzz. We certainly take the use of electricity for granted in the US, well I did. The voltage conversions state that the USB-C port is not quick charging but both electronics charged simultaneously pretty quick. Outlets can be located in cumbersome positions overseas, so the length of cord length was perfect. The On/Off switch was handy as well to not continue to draw power when not in use, something frowned upon in Germany. Having multiple US plugs, a USB-C & USB port on the same one device made all the difference in "Europe"! So, if you're planning a trip abroad, forgo those square, tiny 1-2 plug adaptors and get this strong, compatible 6-outlet & USB Port European adapter, and keep it in your carry on bag! I'm planning an upcoming trip to the Netherlands and decided to get the TOPREK European Travel Plug Adapter in preparation. I used to just have the simple one-outlet adapter, and it worked fine. But after checking this strip adapter out, I don’t think I could ever go back to just ONE outlet! Here are my observations based on its features and design: The adapter is designed to fit Type E/F outlets, which are common in many European countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, and Turkey, which are all countries I visit a lot. I can recognize that its prongs match these European outlets I’ve seen in past trips. It converts a single EU socket into six American outlets, one USB-C port, and two USB-A ports. Since I’ll be traveling with family, I feel like this 9-outlet device is going to be great because we can all charge at once. The 3-foot extension cord is a game changer, especially in hotels where outlets are so rarely in good locations. The adapter's compact design makes it easy to pack in a travel bag, and its build quality feels robust and durable. The on/off switch is a great feature. Being cruise ship approved also opens up more travel options for the future, so I like that. It’s also really compact, so I’m going to put it in my pocket on the airplane instead of taking up luggage space. Also-- bonus-- it came with a velcro cord-keeper to keep the extension cord manageable. I think that's a very useful addition. This product is good if you have an appliance like a computer with a large plug. My computer plug is heavy and makes a simple small adapter fall out of a wall outlet. This converter is a little larger, but a heavy plug will not fall out. My only criticism is that I wish it had an on-off switch like many other strip adapters; however, I don't think it's a big deal that it doesn't. ... show more
