I'm very impressed with Eureka's RapidClean Pro Cordless Lightweight Vacuum. It's a great value at just north of $100. It compares very favorably with my still-working Dyson V6 Cordless Stick Vacuum which I've had since 2016. I love my V6, but I've had to learn how to use special tools - like a #10 star screw driver purchased just for this task - and take several hours to refurb it myself or spend +/- $600 to replace it. Every 6 - 8 months I need to tear it down very carefully, clean it inside and out, and put it back together. Last time I did, a piece of broken plastic was loose in the handle which somehow connects to the battery. It all went back together but the writing is on the wall. It's even getting difficult to change the attachments without pulling hard to separate them. The roller bar not only gets wrapped in long hair, the hair and debris get pulled into small tight places that can't be seen or reached without completely disassembling the gears around that axle, again requiring that #10 star tool and needle nose tweezers. Thank goodness for the special refurb tutorials on YouTube. When the Eureka RapidClean Pro Cordless Vacuum popped up, I ordered it instantly. I couldn't believe the value. I plugged it in last night to be ready to use it today. It was very intuitive to put it together, and easy to connect and disconnect the different attachments with the simple press of a lever. The wand is long and extends even further with a brush attachment, which made it possible to quickly clean special sensors near the ceiling without standing on a ladder. I was particularly interested in how to break it down for maintenance before I used it. The documentation is easy to read and understand. Emptying the dust bin - accessed with just two levers. Washable filter. Very accessible and easy to wipe down with a soft damp cloth if you like your stuff really clean. ;^D There is another filter behind the motor - also easily accessible and washable. Easy to replace once a year. Guess what? I can retire my fancy #10 star screw driver - no tools required. Just simple levers or twist locks. Finally, I vacuumed my home - mainly hard floors with a little low-pile carpet. Wow! A headlight that's more than "nice to have." I could see what had been missed near edges and around the cat's dishes. To get a headlight with a Dyson requires hundreds more $$$$. I was pleased how my carpet looked, too. After the first session I checked the roller bar, which was wrapped in a light layer of long hair and a few threads. Again, documentation was easy to follow in how to break it down. One lever opens the access to the roller bar which lifts out easily. Just cut and remove the long hair... normal, no problem. But what about the secret holes that suck hair into the gear works? NO ACCESS. Sealed off. It's not going to be a problem. So easy and FAST. A simple swipe with that same damp rag made it look like it had never been used. What a relief it's not going to be hours with stop and go YouTube tutorials. It is very easy to change modes with the click of a well placed button. I live in an RV. My floors can be vacuumed in 10 minutes with care around all the edges. At the normal mode, there is a total of 20 minutes vacuum time available on the charge. Swap to the brush accessory and there's still plenty of time to vacuum the upholstery and catch any cobwebs. In economy mode, there is 40 minutes of charge available. That's awesome. I still can't believe this was about $125 the day I ordered it. I've been thinking I'm in for $400 - $600 for a new Dyson. This Eureka does everything I need fast, easily, and is going to be a dream to maintain. I have a cat who doesn't shed much. I don't know how the Eureka will handle heavy dog fur, but I think this is a great buy and is perfect for my needs. I was going to keep using the Dyson until it gives up and have the Eureka for a backup. For the ease of use and especially maintenance, I'm switching now. Before I got the Dyson which came with my current rig, I had a beautiful Eureka canister vac and it lasted for years. It was still perfect when I gave it to a friend when we left the stick and bricks. I expect this new cordless stick vacuum will last a long time, too, especially if I take care of it. This Eureka cordless 24 volt vacuum is the most utilitarian cordless device that I now own!! It has several different modalities of functions in order to meet a wide variety of applications. It took several hours in order for the device to reach a full charge. However, I vacuumed my entire one BR apt. with it and it still registers at over 1/2 of a charge! I vacuumed everything in my apartment that needed a good dusting. That includes my queen comforter, all of my throw pillows, (I attached the head directly to the motor assembly in order to accomplish that little chore,) underneath the bed and the dresser. VERY HANDY!!! All it needs is about a 3 inch clearance in order to squeeze beneath the piece of furniture. The head rotates to allow the tubular extension to lie flat on the floor and sweep the area clean of even the finest, hard to access, dust. The functionality modes enable either a high or a low suction, an high speed rotary brush, low speed rotary or no brush at all. Clean-up is easy-peasy lemon-squeezy!! Just position the dirt collection container over your dust bin and release the bottom of the container with the push of a button! There is a wall mounted hanger that is included upon which to hang the vacuum when it is not in use. The only real liability is that it does PRODUCE some dust during the process of vacuuming. ... show more

I love my new vacuum! It's substantially lighter than the last cordless that I had, but it knocks it out of teh park when it comes to suction and run time! Obviously it works best on hardwood floors, tile, or low-pile rugs (not so much carpet), but I have carpeted stairs and it holds its own against my full sized vacuum. It's more of a surface clean than the upright, but for daily maintenance it's perfect - and the feather light weight makes it easy to maneuver up and down the stairs, which is an added bonus. It also has a one touch dust bin release, which my last one lacked, and I'm overjoyed to have it back and not have to stick my hand directly in the line of fire when emptying! It has a pretty big resivoir as well, so I can easily do the whole house at least once without emptying (usually 2 or 3 times without emptying), and the washable and reusable filter is great. My only complaint is that there isn't anywhere to store the included attachments - if the hanging base had the ability to store the attachments it would be so convenient. As it stands, they just float around loosely without any home - and it's only a matter of time before they get lost, I'd be willing to bet. But that's a small thing compared to the quality and performance of the vacuum itself, I'd definitely recommend it. ... show more
