    • Worth the Hype!
My last vacuum (Shark) went out after 2 years and I was in desperate need of a quick decision for a new one. After reading the reviews carefully and considering the low price point, I went ahead and ordered hoping to be as impressed as other reviewers. I definitely am! I will say that the pet attachment quit working after the first use, though I honestly expected that as I had the same issue with a similarly designed attachment that came with a previous vacuum. The level of performance though far outweighs this issue and still works wonderful even with all the hair my dogs like to leave around for me, to the point that I won’t even knock a start for it. The profile is larger than my previous one and a much lighter weight which I actually appreciate! So easy to bring around with my and carry up stairs, etc. The whole design is incredibly user friendly, with all the same features as my previous, higher-priced Shark but way more accessible and far better performance! It’s so easy to switch between normal upright use and the hose feature, and is the quickest and simplest to empty of all the vacuums I’ve owned prior. The suction is incredibly powerful and my carpet honestly seems cleaner than they’ve been since they were new. I was amazed at how much dirt and hair this picks up after even just one pass and love that there are multiple tools to use with edges and furniture. The edge feature is especially impressive as it is slim enough to fit in all my little creases and corners, and the suction stays powerful enough to pull up all the bits that would usually have gotten left behind in the nooks and crannies. Picks up first and dog hair great! Perfect attachments. Stores easy. Easy to use and has great suction. I have long haired dogs that shed like crazy and this vacuum works great on my carpets!

    • Unexpectedly nice, great for price.
I have used bagged vacuums my entire life, so I was very hesitant to buy a canister vac. But--hard to argue with the price, and I needed a vacuum with a hose that would work well on hard floor. This is great on all counts. Pros: --Great suction (like many other reviewers, I tried it on a freshly vacuumed floor and it pulled up soooo much dog hair and dust). --Works well on hard floors. --Has all the attachments you might typically need. --I haven't noticed my hair collecting around the brush *yet*. I have long hair and shed like a dog, and it typically wraps around vacuum brush rolls in a way that is VERY hard to remove. It has been about a month and there's minimal hair buildup on the roll. Cons: --The pet attachment is useless. Entirely, completely useless, since the roll is powered by suction. Don't buy this for the pet attachment. --The attachments don't fit super tightly, which is annoying when you're applying pressure. I like to vacuum that little crack between carpet and baseboards and the skinny attachment has to be held on to the hose. --The hose is SHORT. A little longer if you use the handle extension, but still very short. You need to have the vacuum right next to whatever you're trying to reach with the hose and attachments, and your range is only 12-18 inches if you're applying pressure, 2 ft if you aren't applying much pressure (like using the dust attachment on baseboards). --Personal pet peeve...I have long hair, and wisps get sucked into where the hose meets the vacuum when I'm using the hose, because stretching it leaves crevices. It even catches loose pieces from a braid. Very annoying, but probably won't affect most people. ... show more

    • Great suction for the price!
This looks exactly like our old black and decker vacuum that preformed terribly so my husband was initially bummed when we opened the box up. However the suction power was crazy! We have a longer haired dog that sheds a lot and two cats and a 7 year old so we’ve got alot of grossness to vacuum up in our tiny home and this absolutely does the job! Super easy to clean with, not bulky, easy to maneuver, and is holding up very well. The storage is decent, we empty it when it’s half full just in case though. 10000/10 great value for the price ... show more

    • Picks up amazingly well!!
I purchased this vacuum only because my previous more costly one didn't live up to the expectations and its Consumer Reports rating. That one self-destructed in just over two years!! I have only had this Eureka vacuum for a week. I have vacuumed the house once and was amazed at how much dirt came out of my carpets and how well it works on tile floors, too. It is larger than I expected, with a wider base and it is also almost totally made of plastic. It is loud, but most vacuums are! It went together perfectly; I hardly used the instructions. The cord is long enough as well. My cleaning service has used it once, also, with no issues with it either. I don't know how long it will last, but it was reasonably priced, and I like it. I like that it is bagless and you can actually see the dirt it is picking up, too!! I'll update this review if time proves it necessary, for now I think it was a great purchase!! ... show more

    • Excellent suction, easy to maneuver.
I have a German Shepherd that constantly sheds, and a family. I have been through 3 vacuums in a year. This vacuum has amazing suction power and gets all the hair and dirt off my carpet and floors. Very well made. It's easy to use. You just remove the canister with a push of a button, empty, and snap back in place. The attachments make it versatile, so I can do my furniture and curtains with ease. My rugs look like new since using this vacuum. Very easy to maneuver and does excellent on carpet and floors. Great value for the money. If you have pets, and children this vacuum is perfect for you. Powerful suction, easy to use and gets all the hair and dirt up. ... show more
