I live on a dirt road and have many pets and wall-to-wall carpeting through a large house. Vacuuming is a never-ending chore and trying to drag around a corded vac was a nightmare. I picked up one of the no-name generic stick vacs last year and it's basically useless with this amount of soiling. This time I looked at Dyson and shark and they either didn't have power buttons that stayed on or had itty bitty dust containers that are just not going to be adequate. I took a chance with the eureka because it has the best capacity at the best price and so far I have been pleasantly surprised. For my use I can deep clean one maybe two rooms if I'm lucky on a charge or spot clean a few. The dust cup is extremely easy to remove and the top filter assembly just pops right out no hassle in order to get out extra pet hair or give it a tap to release dust super easy. It is not the lightest stick vac out there but it's still easy for me to maneuver even with arthritis. It came with several nice attachments and a hanging rack that was easy to install on the wall. The only cons are that it takes forever to charge several hours so I can only really vacuum once or twice a day for like 15 minutes at a time which wasn't a big deal I just broke up my vacuuming over several days. The roller obviously is not tangle free and I was a little disappointed to see that even though eureka is a major player in the industry their manual still suggests using a knife or a box cutter to cut hair off of a tangled up roller Even the Chinese companies have figured out that those little square letter openers that you used to get as handouts at job fairs and such make super short work of cleaning vacuum rollers and include them with their products. This vacuum weighs a ton I'd say about 20 lb. I'm 67 years old with back pain and shoulder pain. I just sent back a Bissell that got completely tangled up with carpet fibers which this vacuum does,also, I thought the roller was supposed to have long plastic like fins but this has brushes which I did not want. again it picks up every carpet fiber. the only way that the roller brush moves is because you're pushing it when you stop pushing it,n The roller stops moving. So you're using all your strength to push this vacuum through whatever carpeting you have. It's ridiculous. I'm sending it back tomorrow after having it about a week. The battery only lasts 15 minutes when I was doing three very small rooms with only one carpet about 4 ft x 5 ft and it quit at 15 minutes. The Bissell at least ran for 45 minutes ‼️ You have to take the vacuum apart in order to empty the dust spin which is a good size, but you have to take it off of the long handle in order to place it upside down to fall into a basket or in my case outside. It's just very inconvenient in so many ways, I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone, especially a senior citizen. ... show more

Sweeper good, batteries take much too long to charge, then will only run vacuum for short period. One of my 2 included batteries already FAILED! More electronic waste due to cheap manufacturing!

Granted a better comparison would be the V10 but this works great! Pretty quiet, great great suction. Holds sooo much debris. Takes a while to charge and you have to manually plug in the charger, unlike the dyson where it automatically charges when you dock it. The batteries are easy to swap if you have extra, just like a power tool. If you handy with electronics, it's very easy to rebuild the battery. Comes with Samsung 25R which are high output cells, and the battery does get warm so the vacuum is using the power. Don't use cheap cells .. 25A constant output cells or greater! ... show more

Cons: From day 1 - the battery only lasts 20 minutes & barely made it long enough to clean the downstairs (1,000 square ft.) I would not recommend if you have pets. It’s self propelled, but after two weeks that stopped working and the brushes needed cleaning frequently. (This is not something we experienced with two of our past cordless vacuums) It is not durable. The vacuum can not stand freely and needs to be hung on the base that comes with it. Therefore, if you need to move something you need to prop it against something or lay it down. I had it propped against the wall and it tipped over and now the canister will not lock into place. So two months of use and now a waste of money. Canister has very little room compared others, but the filter is a good size-so this may be a pro or a con for you. Pros: It came with nice attachments. The parts separate easily making in convenient to navigate from floor to stairs. It switches from hard floor to carpet with a button and has different speeds. Lightweight design and I liked that it came with the wall mount. Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone. I have had better luck with my two other vacuums and they were less expensive. I was hoping this would be even better, but unfortunately, that’s just not the case. ... show more
