  • Not worth the money
Color: Black
I’ve had this unit less than one year and it’s already stopped working. The unit keeps showing ice is full but nothing is being made. Definitely not worth the price I paid. On top of that as others have said it’s not the quietest machine and leaks so much water when you open the ice bucket to get ice ... show more

  • Updated- My First Great Ice Maker
Color: Black & Silver
The media could not be loaded. Update for Update: Euhomy customer service could not determine reason for noise but sent a replacement unit. 🙃 Customer service was efficient. Thanks. Update. Well it’s been almost two months and my machine has started squealing. It’s loud and as low as wind blowing thru a crack at times. I tried troubleshooting with Amazon and they told me I needed to return this one because they could not help. I would rather just fix the issue, if possible because returning is a real hassle for me. Would someone please watch the video and tell me how to stop the sound, if possible? I sent message to seller and posting here just in anyone else had this issue. Well, I wanted an ice maker because our fridge ice maker is psycho. It works when it wants to. I searched high and low for the best one. I wanted a stand up style and was considering the GE model because it supposedly made sonic ice. It was also expensive to me. I kept searching and stumbled on to this machine. It makes nuggets ice as well. There were no reviews on this model but I decided to take a chance. When it arrived, it was well packaged. My husband put it on the counter for me. It’s not extremely heavy but has some weight to it. There were no dings or scratches. I like how it looks on the counter. It doesn’t take up much space. Just remember to sit the machine upright for 24 hours before plugging it in. I almost missed this warning on the machine. I used a white distilled vinegar and water solution for the initial wash cycle and plain water for the subsequent 2. We have hard water in S. Florida so I decided to use the water from fridge dispenser because it’s filtered. There is an option to attach the machine to water line but I can’t filter that water. I will clean with a descaling solution once a week to avoid any build up. The initial cleaning was easy and the drain tubes, on the back, are long enough for me. I simply added water and pressed the CLEAN button. Buttons are soft press and not an issue. I used a large mixing bowl to collect the water. Works perfect. Just be sure to have the bowl ready as soon as you uncap the tubes. If not, you will have a mess. I can purchase extensions for the tubes but not necessary for me. The machine was not loud. It makes a slight humming sound. Nothing that would bother me. After cleaning, I filled with water and started making ice. I will say it’s neat. When the ice maker is filling ice making section, water streams from the top of the machine back into the reservoir. Still not a loud process. Sounds like running water when you’re close to it. About 10 minutes later the first nuggets start to drop. In about an hour, we had a full basket of ice. I was able to collect 4 baskets of ice (each basket almost filled a gallon ziplock bag) in about 4 to 5 hours. I think I could have made more ice if I was watching the machine to remove ice and add water timely. The machine shuts off when the basket is full. If the water level is low, the add water light would come on. This light only came on when I removed one basket of ice. I usually added water after each ice dump and filled to the max line. In that instance, i added water but I didn’t fill to the line. ICE ICE BABY!!! Now, the ice is nugget style and resembles sonic ice. However, it does not have the consistency of sonic ice until it softens up. So, if you leave it in the basket and use it from there, it’s softer. If you remove right after making it’s harder but still good ice. Of course when you freeze it, it’s going to stick together but we just dropped the bag on the counter to break it up and it was fine. Still nugget but harder. The taste was good and the ice was clear. It didn’t change the drink taste and everyone wanted some. It’s not a restaurant machine. So, I didn’t expect the ice to be just like hospital or Sonic ice. Those machines have the perfect temperature to not over-freeze and store the ice. This machine does not. If you want the ice to soften up, leave it in the basket, place it in a Yeti, or a styrofoam cup. It’s also easy to store when not in use. I simply drained the water, dried the machine/basket, and pushed it to the side on my counter. I center it when in use for proper ventilation. I will say that I have a great replica of a nugget ice maker. The machine is relatively quiet and gets the job done. I’m glad I purchased this machine. Let’s see how long it lasts. All pictures were taken after use. I had cleaned and dried machine for storing. ... show more

  • Great customer service
Color: Black
The product works great. I think it’s a bit noisy and the water drip is not ideal. There was a problem with it and the customer service dept. did a wonderful job of taking care of it.

  • 12 month warranty is a joke
Color: Black & Silver
I have had the Euhomy ice maker for 11 months now. It had issues, high pitched noise every now and again and tends to drip water ut the real issues is the so called warranty. At 11 months my unit quit making ice, it runs and water is flowing but no ice. I have been in contact with the manufacturer and the seller I bought mine from for weeks now and am being told they can't fix or replace the unit. Instead they offered me 30% of what I paid, then 50% when I told them no, and just now 60% after I contacted Amazon help. The sad part is i even bought the recommended Allsrate extended warranty when I bought the ice maker, but I can't even use it since the manufacturers warranty isn't up. Sage yourself a headache and buy a name brand with real support and warranty. ... show more

  • SONIC ICE!!
Color: Black
Ordered this ice maker and the first one decided it didn't want to work. Started making a horrible squealing noise and just stopped. I took video of the squealing and immediately contacted customer support. I had ZERO problems getting it replaced. It took about a week or so. The replacement has been great! It does occasionally make a squealing noise but it doesn't last but a couple of seconds. In my opinion, it doesn't make a lot of ice but it's just me and my husband so it's not an issue for us. Thanks for the great customer service and ice maker!! ... show more

  • Good Ice maker, but messy and not sure about reliability yet
Color: Black & Silver
I don't normally do reviews, but I thought it may be helpful to others since there weren't many for me to read when I purchased. The ice maker is easy to use and I am really a fan of the water line option so that we don't have to constantly fill it with water manually. It is a bit loud to me, but from what I've read most countertop units are. It sounds very similar to my over the range microwave. It has the same hum although slightly louder. It just sounds like the microwave is running all day. The ice is good, but it can be a little hard initially. Once it has had some time to soften in the bin it is perfect. This style of ice maker with the pull out bin has one issue for me. Every time you open the bin to get ice, it drops water out of the drain holes on the bottom. They provide a plastic catch tray, but you have to constantly dump it or dry it. It also runs down the stainless steel in the front and needs to be wiped to avoid water spots. The dropping water is by design so that once it melts it collects in a reservoir at the bottom and is made into new nuggets. The ice machines with the flip up doors I don't think would have this problem. It just may be something to consider for someone on the fence about the design options. My only other concern is that after less than a week of use, plastic parts inside have begun squeaking/creaking while processing the nuggets. It's like a really slow spinning squeaky hamster wheel. The sound comes and goes as it's in certain parts of the ice creation process, but it's now loud enough to hear in the next room with the door closed. I have put in for another to replace this one. Maybe this one is just a dud, but I figure I'll know more once I see how things go with the replacement unit. I'll update again at that time. I paid for the 5 year warranty because I have seen other posts for other ice makers where they went bad pretty quickly. I don't think these are built to last typically. With this or any other countertop ice maker, it may be wise to pay for the 5-year warranty. In my case it was only $35 more. ... show more
