I suffer from pretty severe dyshidrotic eczema on my hands. I've tried over-the-counter creams, home remedies, and even ointments and steroid creams from my doctor. None did anything. I was so miserable that I decided to try this cream. While it is by no means a cure-all, it has definitely healed my skin between flares and reduced the occurrence of flares from every 1-2 days to about once a week. This morning, however, I woke up with a major flare on my hands. So, while this cream is not a cure, I won't go without it while trying to eliminate my flare triggers. It has no pleasant smell, in fact it has no smell at all unless you sniff the application site like a weirdo. The only con is that it's kind of greasy. But hey, I'll take greasy and moisturized over blistered and itchy any day of the week! If you've got dyshidrotic eczema, I highly recommend you give it a try! I couldn't find this any in any stores so Amazon may be your best bet. ... show more

It's 1% oatmeal plus moisturizers. That's it. Note that the Gold Bond product is 2% oatmeal. It's a pretty decent moisturizer but if that's what you want you would be better off with an ointment. Interesting that this is the same 1% oatmeal, and the same thing, as the "Eucerin Eczema Relief Body Cream." Same price, same size, just a different labeling. I have had eczema on and off for years. Since being pregnant, my flare ups were getting a lot worse. I looked for solutions EVERYWHERE, but with no results. So I took a chance and bought this, and it is worth it! It does take a few days to work, so don't expect immediate results. My flare ups were all over my hands, so I used this lotion as well as doing apple cider vinegar hand soaks once a day (on bad days), and it has kept my flare ups under control. I use it throughout the day and have gone through a bottle and a half in a month. The scent is very mild. I got this hoping it could help me with itchy skin, only to find out that it made my skin itchier. It took me a while to realize that it was this that was making my condition worse and not just my condition getting worse. My son has Eczema flare ups and WE HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING. He has been on oral prescriptions and prescription creams. We have tried more lotions and creams than I can possibly remember. Some have had minimal to no positive results while others worked a bit better. Until this Eczema Flare-Up treatment by Eucerin we really thought the uncontrollable itching, raw and irritated skin was something our son was just going to have to live with having. I am new to having eczema so am learning as I go, trying prescription steroids, cortisone, and various ointments but nothing was making any real difference and my eczema was spreading from my palm to my fingers and getting raw. I just bought this product and have been using it a few times per day for the past few days and it’s already gone making an incredible difference. I started using this April 22. It is now May 1 and I wish I had taken before and after photos so I could compare and show others how well this has worked for my eczema! My toes had blisters, were red, itchy, and dry when I first started using this. I was so irritated with the itching that I wanted to choose violence.
