We have light blocking curtains in our bedroom and they provide both privacy, block light from the road, and block outside temperature both hot and cold. Our living room window was letting in quite a bit of cold air. I ordered these, my husband and I hung them up and within a few minutes he could notice a difference. If they are open it’s cold if they are closed it is not. I am including the thin curtain we had up before under these to cover the black thermal lining and so we can open them when we want to let in light. I bought these to use in my living room. I like the pattern and the 3 different colors. I was looking for something that would brighten up the room, and these fit the bill for that! The only thing that wasn't good was actually the plastic bag that the drapes came in. I had to order 3 pair of them, and one of the pair's packaging was not sealed at the top of the plastic; therefore, it was struck to the material when I was trying to open it, and I was concerned that the material would snag, but luckily that didn't happen!
