Its VERY sheer, but buildable. The polish it quite thin and dries fast. If I bought this specific "jelly gloss" nail polish I would probably not get it in purple, but rather a pink. since it is so sheer, the purple color doesn't come through very strongly.

Very pretty, dries quickly, a great topper for any color. Gives a different effect depending on the base. You could wear it as an iridescent base coat with several layers but it’s rather subtle that way. Not as jelly-like as I was hoping for, but applied easily and the translucent color made it easy to hide my mistakes, haha. Color is slightly browner than in the pictures. 1-2 shades in was closer to the result I wanted: a neutral pinky brown. But I had to apply 4 coats since I have long nails, and like other reviewers mentioned, the color looks yellowish when applied to the whites of the nail. Took forever! But luckily I found the process relaxing. The final result is nice so I'll try it again when my nails are short but I likely won't buy this again. ... show more

This is a beautiful topcoat. I used Essie quick dry topcoat over this once tacky and it dried quickly. If a polish doesn’t quite have that oomph, I’ll layer this over it and always love it. Removes easily too.

Do not be fooled by the nice pictures, this nail polish is awful. It’s relatively thick and so goes on quite streaky, god forbid you have a single ridge in your nail. One coat looks awful, two coats still looks streaky, and by the third coat, it just looks like any old opaque nail polish and has none of the transparent jelly aspect which was my reason for buying it in the first place. I swear to god the two coats started chipping within an hour of applying. So awful. ... show more

Amazon does not allow me to post negative reviews about my delivery instructions being ignored. The polish is good, not great but good. A bit thin, the color is true. But my delivery instructions are consistently ignored in spite of the number of times I've notified Amazon. Drivers constantly leave my packages on my front door mat in plain view of the street which can entice theft. I've asked that packages be left under my bench which is mere steps from the front door mat. I'm betting Amazon won't let this review post just as they don't let my reviews post when I point out the failure to honor my delivery instructions. ... show more
