Since it’s regular nail polish, it does take a while to dry so I put it on before I sleep and it works great. The nail polish doesn’t chip for me but the tip of my nails always loses color fast. I do wash a lot of things and use my hands a lot so it’s pretty good for it not being real gel. Removing the nail polish is so easy as well. Love the color! It’s a light translucent blush pink! I use a natural base coat, wait for it to dry, then apply 2 coats of this polish.. super important to let each coat dry first before applying the next! I then applied the Essie gel top coat that come with!! For this look I also applied a top coat that has slight silver glitter for a hint of sparkle & shimmer effect! I let this glitter coat dry and applied another coat of the essie gel top coat! The polish is not thick and last about a week and half before I start to get any hint of chipping! Also do not feel the urge to peel off, it hang on to your nail as a gel polish would and can damage the top layer of your nails! * add cuticle oil too ( I forgot to here.. but if you do it also helps maintain a professional look) ... show more

I really liked the color and look of this nail polish, however it did end up damaging my nails quite a bit. It is very transparent so it requires a decent amount of layers. Quality seems great.

So I have long waiting for Essie to release a true black in the Gel Couture Line and I am still waiting because this IS NOT a black. However it is a very dark and VERY ATTRACTIVE dark navy which is still a win. I am rough on my nails so I only have success with the Gel Couture line lasting me more than a day. Highly recommend if you are doing your own mani waiting a full 10 minutes between each coat to allow to air dry for best results. I also would recommend NOT doing your nails within 3 hours of going to bed to avoid smushing what you thought were fully dry nails. But seriously—it's a great color ... show more

I got galavanting and sheer fantasy. I love them both. My only complaint is that I need several coats for them to look perfect. I did 3 and still feel like I need more. I do have ridges in my nails to that may be why. Overall it’s a great polish and I will buy more colors. It’s lasts several days without chipping and dries quickly. Most of the time I won’t paint my nails before bed because it seems like they always get messed up and stay sticky/wet for hours.
