  • Honest & Unpaid Review! UPDATED 6/2021!
The shipping was quick although the box was destroyed when it arrived which is no fault of the seller. The only damage was a small dent on one #5 pole which is really just aesthetics. The greenhouse it exactly what you’d expect for the price. It doesn’t have ventilation windows which would’ve been an easy and nice addition but it does come w tiny metal stakes, thin white rope (thicker than string but not even really close to rope), a cheap, mini screwdriver/Allen wrench combo and a very flat wrench that barely fits. Better to use your own from the get go or the ones provided will frustrate you. I’ve had a smaller version of this type gh and the zipper on the door was the 1st thing to break after the 1st year. The rest held up for 4 years and the frame/shelves are still being used. So I’d suggest being as careful as possible when opening/closing and guiding it with your hands when doing so. Don’t pull or tug on it! I’m thinking of just going ahead and adding Velcro to keep it closed to ensure the zipper doesn’t break, and only use the zipper when absolutely necessary. The only bad thing I can say about this is that the shelves don’t fit. You’ll need at least 24 small zip ties to keep them attached or else they immediately fall off due to not only being so thin & lightweight but not quite long enough either. Zip ties will fix this and make it altogether sturdier. Anything heavier than 1.25-1.5 gallons of liquid, and the shelves start to droop. Not really a huge deal as one can store heavier objects underneath the bottom shelves. Or they can be left off for more inside room. The cover will last if taken care of and washed down every now and then. Make sure to tie it onto the poles on the inside w the attached strings provided. I put 2x4’s on the outside bottom flaps to keep them down although I’m sure a strong wind will blow them as there’s not enough extra flap to make it snug. The attached D-loops (to attach the stakes & rope) are a great detail as you can use them for many different reasons. Also, make sure to account for every part BEFORE you start constructing. Sort the pieces in piles w the #’s visible for quick identification. Don’t get the #5 & 5a poles confused. When you attach the #5a poles, make sure the ones that have the pre-cut holes (to later screw onto longer poles to help make the structure sturdier) are facing the right direction so you won’t have to double check again later. (You’ll see what I mean if you look through all the steps before starting which I recommend.) I failed to account for every piece although I sorted them. This left me missing 7 total pieces (3 poles, 4 connectors) that are integral to the greenhouse. I contacted the seller whom quickly responded apologetically and asked me to send an email with the identifying #’s and quantities of the missing pieces. Seller promised they would be sent out immediately but to please be patient w shipping time due to the covid outbreak. I was not happy w having to possibly wait weeks which would have put me way behind schedule. Outdoor gardens can’t be told to wait! I was quite surprised and delighted to open my mailbox and see the package after only 3-4 days. They made sure to get the parts to me as soon as possible which I greatly appreciate. All in all, I’m happy with my purchase and even though I had parts missing, the seller is honest and obviously cares about their customers satisfaction. This is important because as we all know, sometimes after a sale is made, the seller doesn’t give a hoot about the buyer or the product. Rest assured this seller can be relied upon to communicate back to you if anything goes wrong, you have questions or you need help in any way. Easy, no-writing, all-pictures instructions w numbered parts shows which pieces connect to which. This is a 20-25 min job that one can easily do alone. I’m a 4’11, 43 yo, 100 lb woman and had no problems putting it together. (I used a broom handle to help me raise the cover over the greenhouse while standing inside of it. Very easy! A step stool may help those on the short side but I don’t see how one person can NOT do it alone in less than 45 min at most. I have also seen replacement covers available online as well as the plastic that can be sized and cut to make a new rudimentary cover. Good deal for the price and great customer service. UPDATE 6/24/20: So it seems as I was in such a huff when I initially learned I was missing parts, I failed to count correctly and was actually missing another 3 #5 poles which were to be used for the shelves. Since I wasn’t using all 3 shelves, it wasn’t a big deal but I still wanted them for future use. So once again I email customer service and they quickly respond, asking for a list of what I needed. I immediately sent it and they responded that the parts would be sent out immediately. No back n forth squabbling about what was or was not included. (We’ve all been there and know it’s aggravating as these are cheap parts but still not ones we can run and get at the local hardware store, etc so why don’t these companies just help out their customers?) About a week later, the poles showed up just as promised. The entire time, I received emails from customer service asking me to be patient because the poles were on their way, if I’d received the parts, not to worry because they’d make sure I was a happy customer doing whatever they had to do and telling me they answer all emails within 24 hours. No kidding. All turned out to be true. This is truly the best customer service experience I’ve had on amazon. I’m not saying that I’d buy this exact greenhouse again (I need one w windows for my use) but I’m not unhappy in any way. You get what you pay for (if you want a $500 greenhouse, spend $500) and knowing that customer service will try to help me in any way is a great assurance. I’m surely going to look through the sellers other items and buy from them before anyone else. UODATE: I tried to attach a 5 lb fan to the top of the gh but the corner connectors were to weak to hold it. The 2 arched poles (connected above you when 1st entering) started to lean in w the weight until the connectors completely bent. I was able to attach a fan using the 2 middle arches w some additional cross support from a few plastic coated plant stakes & zip ties. I also switched out the corner connectors w sone that weren't being used from the shelving I’d disassembled due to space constraints. The manufacturers should’ve added middle cross support for better construction & support. I’d suggest doing this before putting anything inside. Another thing I’ve noticed is that if I attach anything really sticky (tape, Velcro, etc) and attempt to remove it (even if just a second later), the tiny squares on the gh cover will come off with whatever it is I’m trying to remove. So I’d suggest not doing this AND spending $10-15 on poly repair tape. Any places that will see heavy use should be re-enforced just to be on the safe side. UPDATE 6/10/21: This greenhouse was well worth the $. It lasted through the scorching hot summer, windy fall and wet winter of CA. It was not tethered down and we had some major storms that should’ve blown this thing away! It stood through them all!! I eventually took it down due to a leak that was caused by a hole I’d made to add a screen to the roof. I wish the GG patch n seal tape had worked to keep the screen in place half as well as the greenhouse. Had I not altered the original design, this greenhouse would’ve been 100% usable and sturdy for at least another year. The frame did not rust even though it went through the entire winter all while taking in water from the hole every time it rained. Again, the hole was purposely made by me and not the fault of the seller/manufacturer. What impressed me the most was that the zippers held up! I was sure they would break. I WAS consciously gentle with them though. The 110 degree plus heat did nothing to cause any cracks or brittleness to the cover which was a concern. I ended up purchasing a bigger 12x7 greenhouse this year but if I needed a smaller option, I wouldn’t hesitate to order this one again. The customer service was outstanding and quickly resolved any minor issues I had when originally putting together. I kept the damaged cover because with a few scissor cuts & some greenhouse tape, I can use it to make a new cover for a small frame I put together using the greenhouse frame parts. All in all, I’d stick with my original 5 star review. Remember, a REAL greenhouse is VERY EXPENSIVE. A decent one cost thousands to start. Keep in mind you’re only paying less than $90. What do you expect?....Well, $90 worth of use. After doing the math, I paid a quarter a day for this greenhouse which is still being used but in a smaller capacity. I also must add that while it was not being used (during winter months), I stored some gardening supplies in it which I thought would have gotten moldy considering there were cardboard boxes & fabric planters in the greenhouse as well. When I checked, I had no issues with mold even though water was seeping in during every rain. ... show more

  • Good quality for the price paid ($88)
Honestly, for the money, I expected lesser quality. Time: It took about an hour to assemble by myself. Quality: The connectors are sturdy but plastic. I expect them to fail before the main structure. However, they are surprisingly decent quality. The structure itself is metal and maybe 3/4 wide poles. Fairly sturdy. Instructions: Great if you like to solve puzzles. Just take your time and sort it out. The artwork of the connectors is not great. Also, look for the two poles with holes drilled that attach towards the front before you start. They are where the support bars attach and are specific to that spot. They are not separated from the other similar pieces. Durability: The first three days after setting it in its position, mother nature took it as a personal challenge to test it. We did not use those silly little stakes though. We placed 4 metal t-posts and criss-crossed the twine across the top and then secured the ends to the posts after threading them through the loops on the cover. (We placed a tarp under it so the posts needed to be on the outside of the greenhousecto avoid putting holes in it.) We also used concrete pavers to weigh down the edges and prevent a breeze from going under the cover. As a final precaution, we reinforced the connections with duck tape to prevent them from slipping apart. Those first days the winds gusted up to 50 and 70mph. No kidding. I was positive the greenhouse would be in some other state each morning when I looked out to see how it had fared. Every day I was shocked it was still standing just as the day before. I suspect the cover will deteriorate over a two to three year time frame since we intend to abuse it and just leave it set up year round. Maybe I can find some uv protectant used for autos and apply that. For the price, if I can get a year two it would still be a decent value. So far the zipper seems sturdy enough. I would not yank on it or try to be forceful with it though. Overall: so far am pleased with the purchase. Wishes: It would be nice to have zippered, screened windows as it gets very warm inside in the sun. Great for cool months, brutal on warm days. I think it will be warm enough in zone 5 to use for cool crops and winter sowing through much of the year with little or no additional heating. A netted, zippered screen for the front door would be great, too. I want to grow protein free and hole free greens in it. Anyone get annoyed when you go to pick lettuce, spinach, collards, etc and they have been chewed up by critters? Man I hate those white butterflies. Grrrr. Last year we had a ton of destructive grasshoppers and I intend on putting netting between the critters and my garden this year. ... show more

  • It’s okay
Was easy to assemble the first time. We moved and trying to rebuild it without instructions was not as easy as we thought it would be. It was hard to hunt down instructions online but I was finally able to find them. However it was pointless to rebuild it the second time because it was flimsy and the bars bent, the connectors broke so it was better as a one time build project and don’t plan on moving it. It gets super super hot inside and plants dry out quickly. Super lightweight and cute. I had to add extra stakes for stability and had to tie it down to the shed so it wouldn’t blow away. ... show more
