The gel caps are small and easy to swallow and don't leave a taste or after taste. You can't beat the value, if you can find them in the store the cost is much higher. They work best if you skip a night or two and the best part is you don't have that hung over feeling (I didn't anyway).     • Works...but could make you groggy.
I suffer from severe chronic insomnia but without insurance I cannot afford a doctor or prescription meds. I literally never get tired enough mentally to fall asleep, I have anxiety and my brain is wired to never shut up. For the past several years, I have struggled to fall asleep and can only sleep in 1-2 hour intervals at a time. I get possibly 4 hours of "quality sleep" on a good night and this has been going on for several years. Needless to say, I am exhausted. I've tried many brands and combinations of melatonin, valerian root, doxylamine, and plain old benadryl (among other things). Nothing made me tired. These gel caps are the same active ingredient as benadryl but actually make me TIRED. I end up taking 2 or 3 over a span of a night, which is probably too much for most people but I'm pretty desperate. I wouldn't recommend taking more than 1 for most people. I now sleep 2-3 hours at a time on a semi-regular basis, so that is an improvement. Most nights, I feel so tired and drugged an hour or so after taking these that I fall right to sleep. Most people would likely not appreciate this groggy feeling, but it is something I need to be able to achieve sleep at all. I don't seem to be groggy after 6-8 hours, so I don't typically struggle to wake after using these. ... show more

I have a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. Take 1 pill. 30 minutes later , sound to sleep. And sleep solid 5 to 7 hours . Feel rested in the morning. No groggy feeling. I also like that they don't knock out cold , where I cant hear my puppies when they need to go out. Definitely buy again. Oh and they are not habit forming. ... show more

I have not been able to sleep through the night for over 15 years. I have tried at least $800 in products. If you rely on this every night, it will lose its effectiveness. I try to use it no more than three times a week. I suffer the other 4-5 nights, but it is the only reliable product I have found to help me sleep. That includes prescription meds. ... show more
