They have nice heavy duty covers, thick paper (I use colored felt to pens and the pages don't bleed though), roomy pocket in the back. The covers are really pretty. I didn't expect these to have as many pages as these do. Nice, tight ruling. Good for journaling or recipes. Thick paper. Sturdy metal at the spine with enough clearance that you can turn the cover inside out without snagging the paper.

I was looking for a specific notebook I bought from a bookstore a year ago and found it but I also found these at a pack of 3 for half the cost of the one I was looking for. They are really pretty and they are nice quality too. When opened they lay flat. They have an elastic strap to hold it closed. I ordered this package of 3 for variety, having ordered another pack of 3 twice before. I will return to that set in future because they had more pages. Otherwise, the journals are beautiful and useful. I use them for work notes. I like that the journals have straps marking the current page as well as a notation for the date in upper corner. I can fit my pen (somewhat slim) in the spiral, which is nice. The journal also fits into my purse, making it easier to carry if needed. I bought a house and used these for taking measurements to create pdf's with window, wall and door measurements as well electrical outlets, light switch and thermostat locations . I also use them to jot down phone numbers of contractors to call for estimates and make notes on what the work entails. I have one for a laptop and one for the desktop and the third is a spare. The size and covers make them easy to find when I hide them under papers or leave them in random places in the house that is in a bit of disarray due to having the interior painted.
