Description

The new Alphacool NexXxos radiators, a name that stands for experience and quality has come to bring a fresh breeze to the radiator market. Following this tradition, the new NexXxos radiators are the first to truly deserve the “Full copper” attribute. All main parts, not only the fins and channels, but the chambers are also made from copper. The radiators are designed to be used with 120mm, 140mm, and 180mm fans and are available in different thicknesses. The choice of 30mm (ST30 series), 45mm (XT45 series), 60mm (UT60 series), and 85mm (Monsta series) offers the perfect radiator for every purpose.Fin spacing is always an important factor in radiator design. The new series from Alphacool has a fin design which allows it to perform extremely well even with slow-spinning and medium-speed fans. This is not only pleasant thanks to the fact that it avoids unnecessary noise; it also means that the choice of fans that can be used with these radiators is not restricted. Even mounting and installation of fans and radiator grills is easy and versatile with these radiators. Even the dreaded insertion of a screw too far into the radiator does not result in expensive damage. Unlike other radiators, the NexXxos series is equipped with an internal protective ledge which stops the screw before it damages the fins. These radiators are the result of experience and powerful performance meeting future-oriented design and well-thought through solutions. • Better than a 360 but thicker
I'm getting same temperatures that i used to get with my 360x45 but with 120 less surface area, I used this radiator with a push configuration & it worked great. I later upgraded to a push+pull configuration which really was redundant because my temperatures were fine the 60mm is just perfect for 2 good fans vs but if your using standard fans might want 4. It comes with 2 sets of screws that way your all set to do a push pull with the mounting side screws slightly longer than the other side making screws perfect size for (FAN - CASE - RAD - FAN). I Dont see why anyone would ever need a 360 when this 240x60 works better than a standard 360x25 but in a more common form factor. Best part is I can barely hear any wind shear like my old 360. This rad is only audible when you get right next to it, alot people dont know that the radiator actually is main reason fans make noise in water cooling, not the fans themselves but the shear from air hitting the fins for your rad. ... show more

  • Leaky
I put a brand new 240 mm UT60 at the bottom of the case in a Phantom 630 for my kid. When the build was completed, I filled the res with distilled water in order to start the leak testing process. I never even got to turn on the pump, the reservoir emptied out so fast I figured I must have left a port unplugged. After tightening everything again and troubleshooting every connection, it became apparent that the UT60 itself must be leaking, so I removed the pump/res combo mounted to it, and uninstalled the radiator for inspection and testing. I attached a barb and some tubing to the same port I had been using as "in" and, after filling with distilled water, plugged the "out" with my thumb and blew hard through the tubing. I saw three distinct jets of water project out of the rad in different directions, two from the bottom and one from the top, plus a lot of bubbling under the fins in one of the corners. The thing wasn't watertight at all. I looked it over and couldn't see any bent fins, so this didn't appear to be shipping (or user) damage, but rather, a manufacturing problem. I don't know whether it has bad soldering, defective materials, or both. I don't care, either. I bought a premium brand watercooling component, and it failed catastrophically because of bad manufacturing. Now I have to wait for the replacement (not Alphacool!) to arrive, and rebuild my loop. The only electronic components that got wet as a result of the UT60's failure were the motors of the fans that sat under it, so I'm hoping there is no damage to my system. The moral of the story is to check every component before putting into your system. Other issues of note, which collectively might have subtracted one star, are the soft material of the screws that come with it, which strip very easily, and the difference in branding/appearance between the photo on Amazon and the actual product. What I received had no branding, with Alphacool logo stickers in a separate baggie. While I like the clean look better than manufacturer's logos all over my system, I don't like differences between what I decide to buy and what I actually get. ... show more

  • cheap paint job
Perfect radiator with 2 fill ports and a drain port! Gave it 4 stars because the paint easily scratches off when installing or screw driver slips

Great quaility for sure. Used this to accompany my XSPC Rx360 rad in a custom loop. Temps are 78c with both of my radiators and using a 270Proton XSPC D5 vario pump combo after 30 min on 100% load. 4770k is overclocked to 4.5ghz using 1.275v.

Good radiator but there is clearly quality control issues on the mounting bracket. Half the holes weren't threaded / incapable of taking the included screws. You shouldn't have to take a drill to the thing just to get it mounted...
