...but as a humidifier it tends to get you to fill the water reservoir at a constant thing and you do need to keep an eye out when it's low. Other, it's been good for the winter, will update when the hot weather comes. UPDATE: having a few days of 80 degree hot weather, I found that as a fan and adding for the humidifier part works well for my place is a 400 square foot studio apartment.     • Works amazingly
This heat this product provides is great most of the time I have to turn it down because I get to hot. The humidifier has helped a lot with the dry air in the winter time as well. The only thing I wish it had was a digital temp gauge instead of a dial I struggle with the heat settings as it’s just a dial and I am constantly adjusting because I am either to hot or to cold.     • Not What I Had Hoped
I needed an air purifier with a HEPA filter. The heater, “cool fan” and humidifier functions were the deciding factors in choosing this brand/model over others that had been recommended. I’m not sure if I made the right choice. For starters, there’s no “simple” air purifier option — so you always have to have either the cool fan or the heater on, in order to purify the air in your room. On temperate days, this is a tough option. Sometimes the fan is TOO cool, and the heater is too warm. I wish there were a “neutral” option. Secondly, the water reservoir for the humidifier is not that big. It only holds enough water for 24hours. It’s convenient in that it’s not too cumbersome to lift/carry, but you have to fill it so often that it’s a bit of a pain. In order to fill the water reservoir, you first need to remove the HEPA filter, the bottom part of which is submerged in the water tank. This gets awkward and messy. I wish they’d designed it in such a way as the filter could be flipped up, without having to be fully removed each time you fill the water reservoir. Water drips everywhere (hardwood floors!) and you have to find a safe place to put down the wet filter while you remove, fill, and replace the water reservoir. I’m exhausted just writing that, let alone doing it every day. I just think for expensive as this brand/model is, it should have better features. I’m not sure I would recommend it. ... show more

I'm still on the fence with recommending this air purifier, since we just got it a week ago. We got it for the horrible smoke in CA from this summer's fires. We live full-time in an RV and need to be in CA/NV mountains for family reasons. It is very dry here. As for other reviews, yes, the fan is quiet, but it has a very weak fan, even on the high setting. **Please note** To use just the Air Purifier ONLY mode, you Don't have to put water in it. You can use it as a humidifier with both heat and fan. It's not bad as a space heater. See photo, here's how it works: Right-hand dial: the SUN icon is HEAT only (no water), the middle WATER DROPS are COOL/Purifier only, WITH or WITHOUT adding water to the reservoir for humidity, The SUN and WATER DROPS. is heat/humidity (add water). We don't have an air quality monitor, so I have no clue if its really purifying the air to a low level, but we have it by the door to try to get the smoky air that comes in when we open it. I'm not having headaches, so I assume the air purifier is working since I am very sensitive to smells. We'll add more about it after we use it longer! ... show more

I purchase this because I live in New York and we have all seasons. This is the worst purchase I ever made. In thats because of the customers service from the company itself.The fan is not cool at all. You might as well use the heat. Its quiet and it does clean the air. It did everything it was supposed to do except last a year. After three months of purchase the product just shut down on me. Now I understand I probably got a defected one which wouldnt been a problem if i call the company and they no problem we can replace and i just provided with a copy of my receipt and warranty but no that would be too easy and made more sense. I applied for their warranty online the day of purchase but "apparently" they couldn't find it in their system. I will have to FAX the receipt of purchase to them so the warranty may apply. You can't email, scanned or even mail, the receipt, fax only. Then after they receive the receipt then they will provide you with a ref number to place on the return package ( which you pay for of course) I did purchase the Amazon warranty but it applies 2 years after the manufacturer warranty expires so right now I m in limbo or until I decide to go found a fax machine and fax them the proof of purchase. ... show more

Have a 12x18 well insulated (workshop, cave, smokeroom) with 2 high amp/watt wall heaters @ $100+ a month in the MI winters. Got a Lasco tower that saved lots, but very dry heat. Had mama order and this Envion 4 Seasons is still awsom after 4 months of use. Noise level is lower than other tower, it is easy to use the controls (although manual) for desired comfort, and a great value. ROI nearly achieved over built-in energy hogs and cost no more than other tower. It will require daily water if air is very dry. Keep a big pitcher handy. ... show more

    • Would Not Purchase Again
This product really worked for my use case, for 11 months and 27 days. Then the PVC-looking roller on the filter end fell apart, causing the filter to go off track. The unit will work without water. It will not work without the filter on its track. That is, without the filter I might still have used it as a space heater. Alas. A replacement part is listed on the manufacturer's site for less than $10 but it has been out of stock for the three months I've been checking back. Based on this, I would not purchase again and am sorry I purchased this unit. It's big and seems destined for the device graveyard. ... show more

Does everything it says and one thing no one has mentioned is you can put ice and water in the water tray and us it to cool even more. It is nice and very simple to run. I wish they had a smaller version as I wanted this for the RV and it is a little big for a class B.
