Stakes are sold separately --About Eagles Nest Outfitters, Inc-- In the summer of 1999, brothers Peter and Paul Pinholster decided to permanently escape the traditional workplace and make hanging out their full time occupation. They wanted a business that would challenge them creatively, but also allow them to pursue a laid-back lifestyle. They began as a small operation in Florida, planning to travel the East Coast in a ramshackle minivan and sell hammocks at music festivals and community gatherings along the way. In the early years, home was wherever the van was parked that night. The brothers dedicated their days and nights to making and selling the most comfortable hammocks in the world. In a short time, the boys found themselves with more business than they could handle from the van. Weary from a life on the road, they eagerly settled down in Asheville, NC and continued growing the business into what is now a thriving company. Today, they continue to supply the best hammocks and accessories to like-minded people across the globe.

This is the best tarp I have ever used, it is so easy to set up and so durable. Just hiked 20 miles in below freezing temps with 50 mph winds and when I put up the this tarp it stayed put. Couldn't be happier with this tarp. Aside from being super light and compact the design of the guy lines is everything I could have wished for! Velcro loops to hold them spooled, adjustable at both ends, plenty of length and reflective! I set this up in the dark and it was a breeze, love it!

I am I US Marine in the Infantry, that being said I need gear that is not only tough and that I can rely on but also lightweight. I have personally bought ENO products for years as both a civilian and for my military use. I bought this tarp to use as a makeshift shelter in the jungle, not only did it preform incredible but I was stuck 6 days on an island with well over 80mph wind with a hurricane just offshore. I have never in my life seen it rain that hard for 6 days straight without letting up. I thought without a doubt this tarp was either going to rip in half or get sent flying away in the wind. I stayed not only dry but my gear as well which is a huge plus. I will never use another brand of tarps other than ENO and any of their products for that matter. First time I used this it came in clutch. Second night of camping in the Adirondacks a big storm rolled through in the middle of the night. Luckily I had this already set up and I stayed dry, as did the whole hammock. Great buy!

I was able to test this fully this past weekend. My understanding of this product was that by waterproof it mean that water would instantly repel off of this material. I set up my rainfly minutes before the rain. While I was setting up straps and hammock it started raining. HERES THE KICKER. When I went to put up my ridgeline it was tangled so I stood up underneath my tarp and laid my line in my hammock and started untangling. While I was doing that my back started getting a LITTLE moist. I thought it was sweat at first so I didn't mind it. As the sun set I used a flashlight to finish setting everything up and noticed that the tarp had a wet spot as if it has absorbed water. I felt the tarp and it had. It did keep me dry all night long and didn't leak at all. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it LOOKS like it had absorbed water and was wet to the touch from underneath(very faint feel of wetness in light to medium rain) The end of the tarp that attaches to the tree is a simple line that goes from the tarp to the tree. There is no ridgeline that goes all the way across this tarp(not a big deal I use my own) PROS -eno branding on the tarp is very neat and subtle -stuff sack has a line to grab on the end to pull tarp out easily(I wish all eno products did this) -DID NOT LEAK AT ALL -line tie outs are very long for that they are (about 4-5 feet?) -can easily be made taught(stretched out with no wrinkles) CONS -line is a little flimsy -no ridgeline -doesn't 100% repel water I do recommend this tarp fully, only reason for 4 stars is because if you simply laid it over you and it was touching you skin, you would get wet although this is no the intended purpose of this product. ... show more

I don't normally write reviews, but this one earned one. Went hiking this weekend and used this rainfly. It covers my hammock from end to end. It's by far the easiest rain fly to set. We had some strong winds and did a great job of blocking the wind.

I used the ENO tarp for the first time on a hike in the Ouachita National Forest. Usually I wouldn't plan on bringing a tarp for a day hike, but because it's so lightweight it was an easy addition. About halfway into our 8-mile loop we could hear thunderstorms forming around us and elected to push through and get out as soon as possible. However, when the downpour started we were still over 3 miles from the trail head and I could see on my phone a long line of rain to come. We broke out the tarp in the wind and rain and had it setup in under 3 minutes. I purchased MSR Groundhog stakes to use with the tarp. It performed wonderfully in the awful conditions. It withstood the wind bursts easily and even quarter sized hail. I have very little experience with severe weather in the outdoors so having a shelter that was so easy to setup and provided us with protection was a huge comfort. We waited out the storm and were able to have it packed and back on the trail in just a couple of minutes. When we were back at our cabin we were able to set it up again in the sun and it dried very quickly. I couldn't be happier with my purchase or more thankful that I'd had it along on the trail. ... show more

Love this! I'm actually in love with ENO as a brand. Ive been completely satisfied with all the products I've purchased from them. It just so happened to rain the first time I took this camping. Slept in it overnight, so comforting to be under since I'm used to only camping in tents, being out in the open makes me feel vulnerable. It held up in the rain great & water beads off of it. I don't like putting my things away wet but at times you have to. The only thing that got wet were my hammock straps. It's super light & packs away easily, I carry my hammock system with me just about everywhere I go! I can even fit my MSR groundhog stakes into the bag with the rainfly (4stakes not included). I feel like I would've been sleeping in water had I been in my tent, which I sat up as a backup but only ended up using it to store things. The second time I set it up solely to use as shade. Cousin & I sat our hammocks up one above the other & put the rain fly over us just so we could relax out of the heat of the sun & this was a great experience as well. You would think because it's black it would be hot under it but it was awesome! Great purchase, I'd buy it again for sure. ... show more
