Work for perfect for my homemade engine test stand had to drill holes, but that is not the plates fault my stand is the old and outdated version

    • Won’t bolt to engine stand plate!!!
Holes to bolt to a LS block line up perfectly. But when you go to bolt the plate to the engine stand plate, the slotted holes are nowhere close to matching! They had one job and they completely failed. So you either return the crap or enlarge the slotted holes so it fits and use oversized hardened washers as the slots are now too large for the flange head bolts, which by the way are too short so you’ll need to go purchase (4) 1/2”-13 x 2” flange head grade 8 bolts. Do yourself a favor and spend the couple of extra dollars and purchase a made in the USA plate from a reputable manufacturer. ... show more

    • Does not clear the transmission dowels!! Bonehead design
If you have a block with the 5/8 transmission dowels installed, you will need to remove them, or clearance the plate for them. It's incredibly annoying to buy something that has such a simple oversight for a product that has been around since 1955....

The media could not be loaded. I believe this is a far better way to mount the engine to the stand. On my Chinese engine stand the mount was flexing with the BBC. Now it stands more upright. I did have to drill new holes in the stands mount (not the products fault) to the 4 mating bolts to line up. Once that was good to go. I give it 4 of 5 stars because the item arrived with a few scratches. No biggy, it will get more scratched up in the future. And, I would probably be replacing the bolts with grade 8 bolts in the future but, as you can see the supplies bolts were of correct length and do their job. I would recommend to anyone that wants better secure ent of their engine to engine stand. Love that it grabs the engine at 6 points and not 4 points. ... show more

This works great if you know how to use it. Worked perfect for my LS2 6.0 motor. Just need to be smarter than the mount since there are no instructions. Don’t be afraid to buy this and ignore the other post.
