I now ONLY buy lithium batteries for all my battery powered devices and buy them through Amazon. Lithium lasts longer, hold constant voltage longer, and don't corrode like alkaline batteries do. It's worth a little extra expense for all the advantages.

On most devices I can get one year. Things like outdoor temperature and humidity sensors. I have these packed with all our survival lights and critical alarm sensors. I have never had any leak unlike the "copper top" junk. I will keep getting these.

The manufacturer of my weather station says to use these type batteries and so far over the last 5 years I have been happy with them through summer and winter. Usually I change at 8 months (manufacture says 1 yr) for maintenance reasons before winter sets in.
