This is a huge advantage over traditional "dry-charge" batteries. Dry-charge batteries are not "ready to ride" off the shelf. They come with a kit, which requires you to perform several steps before your battery is ready to work. First, you carefully measure the battery acid (some kits come premeasured). Next, you pour the acid into the proper battery vials. Then you seal the battery. And finally, you charge the battery. Depending on the model, charging time can take eight hours. My terminal was bent like the others in the reviews. You have to put a nut in the terminal . So if it's bent it's hard to do. It's not impossible though. I was able to finally get mine to work in that aspect. So putting the battery in my bike. I find since the terminal is bent. The holes in my cables won't line up with the terminal holes. So I finally had enough of trying to make this work. Brand new battery and I'm going through all this grief? ITS A NON RETURNABLE ITEM! Yeah, due to the gases,liquids it has and can omit. You have to deal with the company. So that's where I'm at now. Spend the extra dough on a better battery. ... show more

Battery arrived dead. Tried to charge the battery but would not take a charge. Now because of hazmat I cannot return it, trying to get a refund. But I also have the hassle of disposal of the bad battery. Don't understand how they can ship a battery to you but I can't ship it back to Amazon.

I would have given a five star review because this is a nice battery. This battery is not like the OEM from Harley which has two bolts per terminal. I have an Electra Glide and the OEM battery from Harley allows you to use both the side mount terminal and top mount terminal lugs at the same time on each terminal post of the battery. This Energizer battery does not allow for two connections on each terminal post at the same time. Also the OEM battery from Harley the terminal post are flush with the side of the battery case so the cable lug mounts flush with the terminal post. This Energizer battery uses a spacer and longer bolt to flush mount the cable lug to the recessed terminal post. This battery has the same 385 CCA as the OEM battery. One other thing is that the lead terminal post may be deformed and you have to reshape the terminal to slip the mounting nut through to get it in place. No big deal just don't pry to hard so you don't break the lead terminal. ... show more
