  • Excellent
Size: 1500 Watts
Waiting for my second unit to arrive . Something I learned about inverters . People have no idea how to calculate wattage for 12 volts. I also learned that is extremely easy to install and purchase an inline fuse . If your shopping on Amazon an in-line fuse should be in your cart. If it’s smoking you probably didn’t actually look at what your alternator and inverter can handle out of the box. Most people using this setup in their trucks . Cannot get the full 1500 watts with the stock alternator. For this unit with a high output alternator your safe with a 150 amp fuse . Your stock truck should have an inline fuse no bigger than 60 amps from the start. You can install everything right. However Your truck cannot Match the 1500 watts your trying to push through it. I don’t speak for everyone . Those who don’t have a clue start small. I wouldn’t push more than 700 watts through this until. Make the correct changes to your vehicle . It’s a great device . Works great , no drop in power . I have this mounted in my truck bed out of the weather . I have the remote , mounted in the blank plate in the cab. It’s handled everything I’ve needed it to do. Be safe do your homework. This works safely directly to your battery terminal. I have a stock anl bus bar on my diesel battery . I’ve seen people attach to that bus bar and fry half of their electrical components. Take a minute, plan and learn . ... show more

  • Works fine
Size: 1500 Watts
Using with a 300w back-up solar system. Easy to set-up & is working well so far! In future we may buy a 3000W one if we enlarge our system. For the $$ it is decent inverter. Would be 5 stars but no remote included.

  • Quality built high power inverter
Size: 1500 Watts
This well built inverter arrived with clear and simple instructions for use and in excellent packaging. It is easy to setup and configure, and does exactly what it's supposed to. I chose this inverter because of the higher current outlets, and it's extended 2 year warranty. By registering and leaving a review (good or bad) Energizer will extend the warranty to 3 years. I am using it to run multiple loads in a garden shed off a couple deep cycle RV batteries that are charged by solar panels. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone needing a higher current 110/120v inverter. ... show more

  • Not sure what's going on with this but here's the Low Down.
Size: 2000 Watts
I purchased this inverter for my work Van. It worked great at 1st but after 3 weeks of using it, it smelled like an electrical fire and died. It produced a symbol on the screen of all 99999. The inverter works oddly. When the vehicle is running I cannot run my 700 W microwave. If I do it makes the inverter work extra hard and the fan instantly kicks on to high speed and it starts burning up the inverter. If I run my microwave with the vehicle turned off the microwave works just fine and the inverter does not even use the fan because it is not straining to work hard. The instructions do not describe how to run a ground wire. There is a post on the inverter for a ground wire but no groundwire is supplied or discussed in the instructions. I used very nice 4AWG positive cable and the supplied negative cable which is bolted to the frame. The positive cable does have an inline fuse immediately after the battery post. I run a computer charger, a Wi-Fi hotspot charger, and a battery charger 4 our X-ray equipment. This does not cause the fan to kick on inside the inverter while the vehicle is running all day long charging my gear while driving from site to site. As soon as I ask the inverter to run the 700 W microwave the fan kicks on high and the smell of burning of electronics starts. I am on my 2nd inverter from this company which is the exact same unit as the first one. I am at a loss for how this unit is designed to work. Why is that as soon as I need more juice for the inverter then just the amount necessary to power my laptop and my couple of small chargers something strange happens. Why does the unit act this way? Does a ground cable need to be installed in order to avoid this problem? If so why is one not mentioned in the instructions? There are no warnings for using this unit without a small grounding wire. The post for the grounding wire is very small I would imagine that a 10 gauge wire would be the largest you might be able to use on this small post. Overall I am very disappointed with the instructions and performance of this unit because because I have to use it all day everyday I work to power my devices. But as soon as I want to heat up my food I have to remember to shut off the vehicle. Seems very odd. I have not reached out to the manufacturer or the seller but the replacement unit works the exact same. My Van is new and has only 6000 miles on it. There is no rust at any of the connections.. The wires do not get hot while the microwave is running. I never have to run the microwave more than 4 minutes. The microwave is brand new it has less than 15 minutes of use on it. This is all very troubling to me. ... show more
