I love these. Sharp points at the ready with no other tools or mechanics. The eraser is FAR more effective than I thought it would be. I have enjoyed using them except that the cap doesn't seem to like staying on the point end. Stays on the other end just fine if you're firm about it, so I've never lost one, just is a slight annoyance hence the one star off. I'd still recommend them. I have been looking a long time to find this kind of pencil. When the lead gets dull, you simply pull it out of the pencil and push it down into the top of the pencil. Another one comes down into the bottom and you have a sharp pencil again. Love these!

So we homeschool and there are many interruptions throughout the lesson to 'sharpen' the pencils...I ordered these pencils because I had them when I was a kid and thought the kids would enjoy them and I was right they are loving them but the unexpected bonus I hadn't thought of...NO MORE SHARPENING!
