This the container that you want to store and to hold your bulk purchase of Sodium Percarbonate 99% 10lb . Read on. For many of us. an "oxygen" bleach, of which Oxiclean Versatile Stain Remover, 7.22 Pounds is probably the best known example, is a staple of our laundry room supplies. The active ingredient in Oxiclean is sodium percarbonate, which is the anhydrous (dry) form of hydrogen peroxide, the liquid antiseptic that you buy in the brown plastic bottles at the drugstore. However, most of what is inside the box of supermarket powdered oxygen bleaches is filler; supermarket powdered oxygen bleach, while convenient, is not very economical to use. You can purchase Sodium Percarbonate 99% 10lb in bulk on Amazon for a fraction of the per-ounce cost you pay for the active ingredient in supermarket oxygen bleaches. If you use a half cup of a supermarket powdered oxygen bleach to do the laundry job you will get the same results with a couple of tablespoons of sodium percarbonate; and the pure sodium percarbonate will dissolve in lukewarm water, while the less soluable fillers in supermarket powdered oxygen bleach will require you to use higher temperature water to dissolve the power completely. If you do a lot of laundry, the savings will add up fairly rapidly. There is one caution about storing pure sodium percarbonate, however: the product is hygroscopic: that is, it absorbs water from the atmosphere. If you store it in a cardboard box in a humid environment typical of many laundry rooms, it will not be long before even the cardboard gets wet from the contents grabbing all of the moisture from the air around it. (Oxiclean and other powdered oxygen bleaches also are hygroscopic, but because their concentration of the important active ingredient is so much lower, less water is absorbed from the air per pound of powder, and you do not notice it as much.) I love these. I got two and both work great however one cracked in one corner right away due to it making such a good seal that I pulled hard and it cracked. It’s a small corner crack and still seals just fine but I lost a star due to that. I love flat shallow storage in my fridge and these hold a weeks worth of whatever you put into them and take up much less space. Recommend this product. ... show more

Looks like this one may be a winner. I give it 5 stars for starters and will review my post in time. Lids are NOT hard to snap on like others have said. The seal is larger than most other brands making it much easier to keep clean. Also, the lid seal is permanently sealed to the lid eliminating the possibility of bacteria growth between the seal and lid like other similar products. The company rates this for 30 years life but I highly doubt this claim. I do think these are much tougher than most of the competition. Compared to the Popit! brand, these are superior in quality. Popit! containers are light duty. I will give my wife some time now to put these to use and see which one she prefers. I will update this post periodically. This is the best storage container I have ever seen! In all my years and all my own ideas for a great container, these folks have done it right! Read their description. Read about the awards given to them for this product line. It truly is awesome. So much so that I held off on my review for fear that they would sell out of stock before I could buy some more from them. Very heavy duty, awesome seal that is permanently in the groove so no taking it out for added things to clean and dry. No worry over the seal rolling out of place. These things are truly awesome. I use the 27oz rectangular one to store my two walkie-talkies and their custom charger... it's perfect. The dimensions provided in the answered question for the 27oz is correct, 6-3/4" L x 4-1/2" W x 1-3/4" D on the top and the base is 6-1/4 L x 4" W I also have the 33.8oz (34oz) one which I use to store my Greenlee 510A multimeter and probes in... also perfect! I hate clutter. We buy lots of bulk nuts, dried fruits, herbs, rice, beans, etc. that used to set in bags on our pantry shelves. With the Emsa containers, our bulk items are neatly stored away preventing clutter and reducing the potential of bugs. I keep the bulk items in their original bags so I can put lots of different bulk items in one large Emsa container. I bought colorful, removable labels to label each container for easy access. Such as: Nuts, Herbs, Tea, Crackers. The containers are semi-transparent to see what is inside. The square shape fits perfectly and stacks on pantry shelves.
