It might be double the price of other "decent" levels, but this one is clearly more precise. Nice features and versatility.     • Extremely Impressive Level
I must start by saying: this level is a finely crafted work of art. At just 8 inches long, it is unexpectedly heavy and it appears to be machined from a solid piece of aluminum. The impact-resistant blue vials are strikingly attractive, and Empire has managed to squeeze four of them (a 90-degree, a 45 degree, a 0 degree flat, and a 0 degree offset) into its 8 inch long frame. It has three strong magnets, a flat edge on one size, a grooved edges on the other side, and one flat end to stand upright, and one bevelled end. They seem to have thought of everything, and packed every feature you could need into this small package. The vials are also readable from the front, or from holes cut into the top. Seriously, if Apple made a level (which would no doubt be called the iLevel) it would probably be very much like this impressive piece of work from Empire. Previously, I had a big four-foot level, which over the years I discovered is far too large for general household leveling use. I'm not confirming the level of steel I-Beams in a skyscraper... I'm hanging pictures on my walls... so an 8 inch level is all that is needed. Also, those larger levels are nowhere near as dense and solid as this little 8 inch level.     • Fantastic little torpedo level
This level is amazing, especially for the price. It's a really substantial piece of aluminum with really easy to read bubbles from any angle. The magnets are super strong and make it easy to stick and level without tying up a hand to hold it.

You get what you pay for and this tool is worth every penny. If you like nice quality tools than you won't be disappointed. I bought a secound one to keep in my travel trailer.
