I wish I could go back in time in the 80's to buy a boombox the way they used to be designed. Heck, I would be happy to stop by in the 90's. Boom boxes were pretty decent then. Cons: pretty small relative to the price: 18 inches a 8.5 inches tall (excluding top handle) x 8 inches. Pros: sound quality is decent. This is why I didn't return this item. ... show more

Received the boombox on October 8th. Used the radio function immediately and thought the sound quality was fine. We were able to get news during and for several days after Hurricane Milton by operating the unit on batteries while our power was out. The trouble started a couple of days ago when I tried to use the CD player. It wouldn’t work at all. I tried again today and the power button wouldn’t work. After a couple more attempts, the radio came on. Pressed the function button — nothing. Made a few more attempts and could not make anything work. Took a few tries to turn the darned thing off. We are now stuck with this completely useless object because we are 2 days past Amazon’s return window. ... show more

Dissapointed in how cheap it feels,, expected more from Emerson. Bass button does nothing at all. Volume is medium at best. Would not recommend it, 😕
