Keep one under each seat of the car for emergency. 3 month update: Don’t know how thick, it is thin but it doesn’t tear easily.. I used one for the first time this week, I threw it under the drivers seat for just such an occasion. Got caught in a deluge in SW Fla, checked the radar on my phone and decided to go for it. Opened the package and put it on in the car- not easy as it’s thin and large. Mine is orange on one side and silver on the other, once I got out I was able to pick up my small dog to carry her into the store, kept us dry. Not easy to fold back up but I did when I got back home and put it into a small ziplock bag. Glad I purchased it. ... show more
