  • Great quality, easy to assemble and use
Size: 4 Quart Color: Pine
Wow! This is a great product. Good quality materials. Wooden basket adds a nice vintage look. Good quality materials for the churn accessory. I love it. It has both the options which is great. The regular traditional hand churning which again gives the vintage feel and the modern electric one. Hand churning gives a nice and firm ice cream. Easy to clean, assemble and use. Aluminum ice cream bowl keeps the ice cream at cool temperature. Ice cream recipe book is cherry on the top. ... show more

  • Works great!
Size: 6 Quart Color: Pine
It’s amazing how rich homemade ice cream is. Every recipe we have tried makes about a quart of ice cream but a little goes a long way. It’s wild. As far as the machine goes- it’s easy to set up, I love how it stops when the ice cream is finished churning- except for the last time we used it, all the ice cream was stuck to the paddle going round and round for way longer than usual but afterwards we realized that we forgot to put the metal tub into the freezer ahead to f time so that was user error. Follow the instructions and you’ll be good to go. I recommend using it outside or in a good sized sink because a lot of condensation builds up on the outside and the bucket itself is not watertight. Salty water cleanup isn’t difficult, just so much easier to let it leak out over something other than your kitchen counters (and onto the floor if you aren’t paying attention) We haven’t tried the hand crank, but it looks nice and solid. ... show more

  • Works well and seems a decent price but appears cheaply made so I have no idea as to it's lifespan.
Size: 6 Quart Color: Pine
Bucket does not leak. Rotating tin ice cream cylinder bends easily. Hand crank is cheaply made. Motor seems to work well but seems a little flimsy. Longevity is a concern. It does a good job of making ice cream and the price seems fair so I give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it is supposed to do. ... show more

  • Loved the Vintage Look! Durably Built, Except the Outer Wooden Tub leaks a little.
Size: 4 Quart Color: Pine
This was given as a gift to my twin grandsons for their birthday. They love ice cream and were excited to see how ice cream used to be made for family get-togethers. The motor sounded strong and did its job perfectly. My daughter used the hand crank, when the motor slowed down, to preserve the motor's integrity and get the hard-freeze ice cream. Since it was a gift, I don't know how bad the leak was but they decided to keep it, just putting it on a mat and surrounding the base with towels. ... show more

  • Easy to use, easy to clean up
Size: 4 Quart Color: Pine
We’ve made homemade ice cream before, but never with a machine. After watching a video, we quickly learned how to use it; while the written instructions were fine, I find videos more helpful. The manual option was fun the first time, but we’ve been making a lot of ice cream lately so we now just set it up and walk away. The inner container has plenty of space for a large batch. My kids and I have had fun experimenting with various flavors and techniques, sometimes even on the same day. So far we’ve made vanilla, cookies and cream, strawberry, and salted caramel. With multiple uses and different recipes, we've had no issues, and once we figured out the setup for the first batch the rest for quick and easy. Cleaning the inner container is easy (and it’s not heavy, so not an issue when full), allowing us to make a few batches of ice cream without needing to refreeze the container again. The outer bucket has some weight but isn’t really heavy which is a plus when you’re trying to clean out the salt, ice, and water. A lot of use and everything has held up just fine. I expected us to use this as an occasional thing, but since it’s been easy to use we’ve been using it regularly. I’m looking into ice cream containers so we can store a few big batches. ... show more

  • Not a Quality product & not ready to use. Requires prep that doesn't even work. Terrible product.
Size: 4 Quart Color: Pine
I thought i would buy a electric ice cream maker like i grew up with. Definitely shouldn't had bought this one. Its a real wooden bucket thats jointed together. It looks nice from 5 ft away, but its not a quality made item. There is saw dust all in it. Then after buying all the stuff to make ice cream the manual says to fill the wooden bucket portion of it with water for 2 hours so the wood will absorb the water and swell up to seal any of the wood cracks / splits etc from being made. I filled this wooden bucket up all day to have all the water drain out of it every time in less than 2 min. There is no way you would be able to make ice cream with this product & even more so have a huge mess to clean up from trying. I'm sure there is some kind of sealant you could put on the inside to prevent leaks but it should work out of the box as stated/expected. There is no way it can have 4 star reviews unless bots or ppl were paid to say so. This item should not be able to be sold until they can make it a quality product. The one time i glance a item on amazon site over to buy without reading through the reviews, definitely won't make that mistake again. ... show more

  • LOVE it!
Size: 4 Quart Color: Pine
There is nothing like homemade ice cream. I used to make it with my grandpa growing up and have fond memories of it so I decided to get one myself. I love how this one includes BOTH a hand crank option for the classic ice cream making experience and an electric option to speed things up a bit. It includes an aluminum bucket and and the wooden barrel bucket seems to be good quality wood and looks great. There are many great ice cream recipes online but it also includes some in the manual. Great ice cream machine and a great experience for younger kids! ... show more
