Features

  • 10-Inch 8K Mono LCDELEGOO Saturn 8K resin 3d printer comes with a 10-inch monochrome LCD screen with a resolution of 7680x4320 and an XY resolution of 28.5 microns. You can print sharper models with ultra-fine detail and tight tolerances, only requiring 1-3s exposure time per layer. The scratch-resistant tempered glass above the LCD screen with 9H hardness has an excellent light transmission and screen protection.
  • Large Build VolumeThe Saturn 8Ks build volume of 219 x 123 x 210 mm gives you quite a bit more space for model printing creations with even better quality, whether a large model or batch parts can be done in one go to improve your printing efficiency.
  • Matrix UV Light SourceThe 28 LEDs matrix UV light source with a unique double convex lens design to reduce light scattering and provide powerful light contrast, so that the light is vertically projected on the LCD screen at a smaller angle of 5 degrees, thereby improving printing accuracy and reducing tolerances for prototype print dimensions.
  • Rock-Solid StructureThe Z-axis is driven by a pair of linear rails with non-slip hexagon socket leveling screws for more stable and accurate motion. Sandblasted build plate has stronger adhesion during printing, and the PFA release liner (FEP 2.0) with less release tension for easier model removal.
  • A Hassle-free Printing ExperienceThe USB-powered purifier with activated carbon absorbs and filters the unpleasant resin odor during operation to create a fresh printing environment. The heat dissipation system adopts double heat-conducting copper heat tubes for faster ventilation and heat dissipation.

  • Amazing quality printer with extreme high success rate.
I ordered this Elegoo printer because my last resin printer was not leveling to the bed properly due to a sensor placement issue. On the old printer the sensor is non adjustable, on this printer it is so I upgraded. Initial thoughts: came well packages in pristine condition, shiny clean screen. Since I was already partially experienced from my last printer the setup took about 10 minutes from opening the box and being ready to print. The instructions were clear and it came with a leveling paper and some other parts (scraper, gloves, funnel, etc.). For about the first week I was doing 8-10 hours of printing per day across 3-4 prints. My routine was to print, pull off build plate(something I could not do on my old printer without a relevel) scrape off prints, put build plate back and repeat. The most major issue I encountered with printing was prints sticking too well to the build plate and needed to be pounded off(I solved this later). Broken Screen!: after my initial few days printing I had a misprint. My print failed and had to be scraped from the build plate, I also had to scrape loose scraps out of the vat. After setting the build plate back to home it started grinding, I stopped the motor as fast as I could but it was too late. The build plate pushed something through the FEP, through the polarizer on the screen, and possibly into the actual screen itself. I promptly emptied my vat and replaced the FEP with some I had from before, then I contacted support. I sent an email over and in less than 24 hours I had a reply asking for pictures and a model number, after a few quick and easy email I was informed that they would send out an entirely new screen to replace the one that broke. Overall: I am extremely impressed with the build quality and precision, outside a 1 rough equivalent (that takes months and hundreds of $ to ship) this is the best resin printer that I've seen for under about 2,000$. After getting settings dialed in and trying 2-3 different resins, I settled on Elegoo's own gray resin. I found that after choosing the profile for the Saturn in Chitubox and using a 20-24s bottom layer exposure and 3s normal layer exposure I am able to get flawless prints at least 95% of the time, assuming I actually build supports correctly. With these settings I am also able to remove models from the build plate much more easily. ... show more

  • This machine is the best of the best
Coming from a first gen Elegoo Mars, I was already pretty familiar with the resin printing process, using slicers, post curing, etc. So jumping into the SATURN was super easy and I was printing within 10 minutes of opening the box. But, what about those totally new and looking for their first printer? You have one of the biggest build areas in the market and probably the biggest in the sub $500 market. Sure, you could get a smaller resin printer, but the flexibility and production it allows me is beyond compare. There is so much help online with Youtube videos, expert advice, printer forums, etc. There is not an issue you could have that you cannot get answered within minutes, if you look. Don't be scared of resin printing. I use the low odor resin and the SATURN is so quiet and sealed that I hear almost nothing across the room and the only smell I get is when I remove the lid. Those moving from a smaller machine will love its larger build plate and if not on a monochrome screen, the faster print/exposure times. Some settings need to be adjusted a bit different from a smaller printer, but a lot of help online about this. With your previous experience, you will be enjoying the benefits super quick - I just needed to get bigger rinse bins. A super clean design and does not really take up much desk room. Packed superbly with great care. Some things I wish were done a bit different: - Tempered glass cover on print screen. I put a piece of FEP on it as many have had some leaks that would spell trouble for an unprotected screen. So fairly easily fixed. - On/Off switch on side of machine - I really am not crazy about reaching all the way around the back where the switch is located now- but, this is not a huge thing. - Include a drip bracket so you can tilt the plate after printing to drain resin back into the vat. There are versions online and highly recommend this be your first print. So, super easy fix. Some other things to watch for when unpacking and getting ready to print, and along the way: - Be sure to remove the packing material and protectors carefully, per the instructions. It might be easy to leave the film on the bottom of the build plate, etc. - Make sure the factory installed FEP film is super tight on the bottom of your vat. If it is loose you will need to tighten it; otherwise you will not be able to pull clear your prints that are in the middle of the plate and the print could fail. - Be sure to buy a pack of FEP film in the correct size. You will need to replace at some point, but with care you will get miles from each one. - Be sure to print with angled bases so prints are easily pried off the build plate. I like to only use the plastic scraper and as long as the support base is angled, you can easily get under and pry it right off with absolutely no scratching of the metal build plate. - Be sure to have plenty of resin. The tank is big, so needs a lot to fill it up. I am having an absolute blast with this machine and it is super quiet, (much more quiet than my Mars), super fast prints, (run a resin print plate test to get your best exposure times for the resin you use), great detailed prints and really nicely designed. The slicer, ChituBox, is also super easy and intuitive to learn. Elegoo is a class company and their customer service is great during one issue I had with my Mars, so this was another reason the SATURN was a no-brainer for me. ... show more
