  • Grandson loves it
Got this for a birthday present for my grandson. He loves it and the drum sounds are very realistic. Of course I keep it at his house so his parents get to listen to it day in day out. LOL Nice quality and kids love this. Highly recommend.

  • Simple way to keep my drumming skills up
Sure it’s a kids toy, but I found it to be enjoyable none-the-less. Decent sound and decent pad bounce. Great start for want to be drummers especially cause there is a headphone Jack so everyone can enjoy!!!!

  • Really nice beginner drum set - and great that you don’t have to annoy your neighbors!
I got this electronic drum set because my kids were always wanting drums and to learn how to play, and we always said no - living in condo where our neighbors would hear even light drumming. I thought this would be a perfect alternative, since you can plug in headphones and not disturb anyone. The set comes with a small instruction manual, drumsticks, the base of the drum kit, with cords to plug it in, though it also runs on batteries when you can’t plug it in. It has an headphone jack and can plugs into your computer or phone as well. Testing it out, we had a lot of fun. We found (in our condo situation) that we couldn’t put in on the floor, as there were big vibrations underneath the drums, so we elevated it on some chairs, though a small table would probably be ideal. There are some built in rhythms and songs. It has the ability to record, which is a nice option if you want to play something back for someone, or just try to get it synchronized with other instruments playing a piece together. I like that there are a big variety of different types of drums: 2 crash cymbals, 2 open/close hi-hats, 3 toms, a bass drum and a snare. It also includes a pedal for another hi-hat and one for a bass drum. A couple of small complaints: the volume level on the lowest setting was still pretty loud - would be nice if you could make it even lower, but for that you have to use headphones. Also, sometimes when you drum one of the pads, it double-beats (not often, but thought I would mention it). It’s a little more expensive than other drum sets in this range, but it is solid quality and in this case I would be willing to pay a little more for something that won’t break right away - and given how much you might be hitting this thing, there's extra opportunity for breakage with drum kits. Overall, though, it’s a great set to have fun with, especially if you don’t have the space or volume tolerance for a real set of drums! ... show more

  • very responsive
This drum pad is great for home practice without taking up a ton of space. We got this for my daughter to help continue her drumming practice at home between lessons. The volume is fantastic! We have only been able to keep it on a 1 without it being too loud. I cannot imagine going all the way up to max volume. The tone of each circle seems accurate, but I am not the one taking lessons nor have I ever done percussion, so I might not be the best resource on it. To me it sounds like a mechanical version of what my daughter is doing on the full kit during her lessons. She says it sounds right. The pad is very responsive. In fact, sometimes it will double up a sound if you aren't making sure to do just a quick tap. The layout is nice and easy to get used to. The peddles are easy to plug up and work great. It is also easy to connect to Bluetooth. Ports and cords are included to connect USB, MP3, and headphones. I like the option to record and playback what my daughter has been working on. The rhythm controls are nice and work well also. Overall it has good sound and allows easy home practice. It is lightweight and easily portable. The price point is decent and seems in range with other versions that didn't have as good of a layout or easily usable features. The box, although cardboard, has a handle and can be used to store or transport the pad and accessories. ... show more

  • Needs a Stand/Table
This is a great lil drum pad for quiet practice or regular playing around. This pad will by no means replace a full kit, if for no other reason, the occasional lag in responsiveness. Now, we have this pad laying on a cushion, which may have been the reason for the occasional lag (agian, let me emphasize the word OCCASIONAL). I haven't found a table yet in my house that's the right size to hold this thing, that I also don't mind beating on with drumsticks. It would be awesome, if they made a good stand for this thing. I really like how portable it is, as you can drag it all over the place quickly and easily. Also, you can use the headphone jack to hook these into a speaker, to make them louder if you want to try and jam with a guitar or something. All in all, we've been having a lot of fun with these and we're pretty happy with them. ... show more

  • Nice drum pad set
This is a great gift for kids. Especially if they are not yours! lol The drum pad is thin and needs to be placed on a side table or coffee table to work without vibrations on floor. Comes with drum sticks too! It has a very small lag time once in a very great while, if you just start rapidly pounding away on it. It seems to work pretty well. There are several different types of drums you can use and different songs to play already recorded. You can also record yourself too. It doesn’t come with a stand and honestly that is the biggest issue I can find. The instructions are decent and you can get to playing pretty quickly. The learning part is on your terms. There is a place to plug in a headset so if you do gift this for your own child you won’t be driven insane from the noise. It has an electric plug or a place for batteries if your on the go. Super fun to play with for children and adults! ... show more

  • Nice drum learning set for kids
It is an awesome drum set for kids, and I wish I had had it when I was a kid. It can be a simple set for kids, but it also can be a professional set for teenagers. My 3-year-old boy tried to use sticks at first, and the sticks are too long for him (it is regular-length sticks). After a while of playing, he uses his hands to hit directly. To him, it is more like hitting with a rhythm, not really learning. But this set also comes with paddles that they can hook on it as the foot paddles for hi-hats and bass drum. It also has songs and rhythms only options to choose. You can speed up or slow down based on your preference. I hope he will like it when he grows up and start to learn with it. ... show more
