The media could not be loaded. After picking this up for our daughter for Christmas, I couldn't wait to "make sure it works." I had high expectations and this one is a huge hit! (drum puns intended). As the foldable, bendable silicone tech continues to blow my mind. I think we are all a be skeptic about a lot, its just too new ya know? With this portable drum kit you literally have an entire drum set you can rollup and toss in a bookbag! The drums have 9 different pads that cover all the drums and cymbals, plus 2 floor pedals which power the kick drum and high-hat. The speakers are are plenty loud enough, while the drumming on the silicon pads isn't too loud or disturbing. The really cool part is how it works with headphones! Your rock star can be in concert and you can enjoy some mild peace. You also have an input jack if you want to add music, or you can push the headphones to a speaker and amp up with the rest of the band. Do they sound like high-end professional drums and speakers? No, but that shouldn't be your expectation at this price point. Notes: If you plug it into your computer windows will recognize this as a CHMidi-2.3 device. Also the power cord is short. I don't know why you need AA batteries, it has a built in battery pack! So much potential for music development! This is just a wonderful product for all ages, it was so easy to setup.     • Pretty fun drum set
I’ll first say that I think these toys are overpriced for what they are but based on others I’ve seen it is within the price range. This kit is pretty much a speaker attached to a pad with different instrument symbols, you strike an instrument and you get a sound related to that instrument. The drum kit does have several selectable styles to choose from that change the sounds. There is also a record button to play back what you just played. The drum sticks are made of wood but are slightly thicker than a regular drum stick. Also included are two foot pedals that also activate sounds like the instruments on the pad. The drum set is pretty sensitive to touch so I did find it better to place the mat on a hard surface like a counter or table, if you use it on a bed some instruments will activate while striking others. The only thing I didn’t like was that the speaker doesn’t handle the kick drum well at high volume because it has more bass than the speakers can handle. What I did like is that the set can be powered using a type c cable which works with a portable power supply instead of using the AA batteries. Overall the set is pretty fun but I do think that they are overpriced in general. ... show more

    • Decent drum toy, but has MIDI!
As a drum toy, this is a fairly standard pad at a good price (Great price if on sale under $50). The high points - It's rechargeable (not all at this price are), USB-C for power and Midi (More below), decent quality headphone out. Midi. Yeah, for me this is the selling point. At this price, a 9 pad (2 pedals) midi controller is a great deal. Also, YMMV, but I had low to un-noticeable midi latency. I did test in optimal conditions on a high-end dedicated machine, but similar products (even more expensive ones) have had noticeable latency on same setup. Was instantly recognized and configured by the machine - tested in three DAWs. The lows - speakers are a bit lackluster - particularly on the base hits. (Floor tom and kick in particular); pedals are pretty cheap - I question how long the will hold up with use, but they do work as advertised. I will add that the travel on them is a bit long as well, but that can be gotten used to over time. They are also unmarked as to which is the hat and which is base, which is more annoying. The roll up design, standard on many of these style pads, feels stiff and I worry about the internal connections over time. I would suggest minimal _rolling_. Overall, if you want to add an inexpensive set of midi pads to an aspiring mixer-master, this is a nice starting kit. ... show more

    • Very clean sounds from this little portable electronic drum set.
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my kids and they really enjoyed it. It’s got different drum style set and beats for the kids to play with. Because it has an empty battery compartment, initially I thought I had to add batteries but it actually does got a built in battery inside and chargeable via USB C. The built in speaker sounds ok and pedals worked fine. Since it’s got a headphone jack I tried connected it up to my Bose L1 Pro with T4S ToneMatch mixer system and surprisingly the drum sounds came out really nice and clean with no distortion.     • Not bad for kids, not suitable for creating music.
This is an electronic drum pad that rolls out to reveal various instrument sounds. It comes with drumsticks and a power cord, and has small built in speakers. The drum sounds are somewhat cartoonish and silly, and the timing is not perfect, but this is a great introductory toy instrument for children who may be interested in playing music. Once you find the brief delay in reaction time you can learn to play along with a song or other instruments. I would not be able to recommend this for making your own beats or other types of drum tracks. It is not very precise and the sounds are somewhat low quality. Overall this will be fun for children and teens the most. Using this drum pad is a good way to see if they're going to have that love of music, especially percussion. Even if they're not going to continue pursuing drums, it is still very fun for them to beat on the pad and make noise. ... show more
