I have used Ego power equipment for almost ten years. I live in an area that has blackouts often, so I’ve used this many times now. It a GREAT unit! My only complaint is the fan to cool the inverter is a bit loud when it’s under higher loads, but that’s to be expected of any high air volume fan. The unit itself works beautifully! I have also used it running a table saw with two 7.5 Ah older batteries and had no issues! I’ve run it with four Ego 10Ah batteries from my riding mower and it’s lasted 18 hours with a 1.1 Kw refrigerator load running intermittently.     • More portable than Gas Generator

We got this for a quick back up for Internet when power goes down. (we are in a no wireless zone.) The draw for the Internet Wi-Fi is only about 100 watt. When we switched it to the EGO power source it read about 8 hours til discharge completed. We have (4) 5.0Amp hr batteries. It suits our purposes, easily switched on,(swap the power cord for Wi-Fi to the unit and turn it on.) allowing us to check the status of PG&E’s repair time expected if it needs to go longer than 20 minutes or so I will plug in the gas generator and flip the switches for back up generator support. Yeah, it’s a little pricey, a little heavy. I’m over 60 and I can carry it no problem. But we keep it in one spot so far. It’s easy to operate! I think it’s a good value for the money… ... show more

Without power during Helene right now. Been up for a couple of hours with it running my fridge, computer and phone. One small, one medium and one large battery. It will die in about 20 minutes but let me wait out the winds for awhile and get work done before heading out to fire up my gas generator.

    • EGO does not honor it’s warranty

I bought the EGO power station for one reason. I needed the solar power to recharge the batteries. I did not have access to electricity where I needed it. The solar charger in my unit DID NOT WORK when I opened the box. I called EGO TECH SUPPORT. I was told not to return it to Amazon and that they would fix it. They delayed doing any service so that after 90 days I would not be able to return it to Amazon. The unit has a 5 year warranty with EGO. It has now been 1 1/2 years and EGO technicians have done nothing. I have now spent over $2000 doing what EGO technicians told me to do. Two new solar panels, new attachment cables and more plus $1,499 for the unit and batteries. I filed a complaint about the service I received from EGO with Amazon. Amazon refunded my purchase. “I DO NOT TRUST EGO” ... show more

I tested this setup with four 10-amp batteries running a 1300-watt AC unit. On a hot day, I estimate it could run continuously for about 1.5 hours. My test, however, was conducted on a mild day, allowing the AC to cycle on and off as it reached the set temperature. After two hours, I ended the test, and the system still indicated approximately one hour of remaining runtime when the compressor was active. Would definitely recommend purchasing the duel fast charger I still have to as well but this product took 12 hours to charge my batteries back to full and they weren’t even dead so I’d give it around 13-15 hours on dead batteries. ... show more

I’m not sure if the problem is with the machine or the app, but after calling Ego customer service multiple times, I’m convinced it’s not something that can be easily fixed. That being said, the power station itself has been working great as a charger for my four batteries. I plug them in at the end of the day and they’re all charged by the morning. Also, it doesn’t make any noise, unlike the rabid charger and turbo charger. One thing I think would be useful, besides the app working properly, is wheels and a pull out handle for transport because it is very heavy with the batteries. ... show more
