  • So Far, Very Good
Style: DELTA 2 Max+220W Solar Panel
I've read a LOT of reviews, watched a LOT of Youtube videos and had given the purchase of a solar generator (actually, it's just a big rechargeable battery) a LOT of thought. I won't go into all the specs and technical junk since a lot of the other reviewers have done all that. I will just try and briefly discuss What I think about it. I spent around $1,700 for it but that included a big 200 watt solar panel. I see now that the whole package has even gone down a couple hundred dollars to around $1.500 but I still think I got a pretty good deal. I'm a 66 year old female and though both the battery and solar panels are heavy, I can still move them to where I want them. It's summer time here in the Deep South so I laid the solar panel flat on the ground where strong sunlight could shine on it. I had to move the battery fairly close to the panels since the connection cords are only so long, however I set it on a garden stand up off the ground and covered it with a white reflective towel to keep it from getting hot. The color of the battery is dark grey and will absorb a lot of heat if left out uncovered. And for crying out loud, don't forget about it and leave it out in the rain, or it will be ruined. My battery was at 38% charge when unpacked from the box it was shipped in. After 2 days of being charged by the solar panel (and with adjustments made for the movement of the earth and sun) it got to 76% charge. I like having the option to charge it by use of solar panels (and you can connect 2 of them at the same time but I only used the one it came with), but I hope I don't have to use them very often, since it's not a very efficient way to charge it. I charged it the rest of the way to 100% using a household outlet. I chose this particular solar generator (battery) because of the many high reviews, the price, and an output of 2400 watts will power a LOT of things such as refrigerators, freezers, a washing machine, coffee pots, microwave and all the smaller electronics and crap one thinks they'll need if the power should go off for several days. BUT!!! It won't power big appliances for more than 2 or 3 days before needing recharging. That's where the gas generator really comes in handy. It can be used just long enough to recharge the solar battery then shut off to save gas. That's my plan anyway if it should come to it. I think having both a solar generator and a gas/propane generator is the best way to do it as long as you have enough fuel. I connected my now fully charged solar battery to a mini fridge and it stayed nice and cold for 3 days until I disconnected the fridge and plugged it back into a regular outlet. I learned that if you're going to store the battery long term, that it needs to be at 50% or slightly less of a charge to keep the battery safe from self-damage. I don't know the details about why it needs to be at a lower charge, but whatever. The digital readouts are easy to see, it can be connected by an app to your phone, which would be nice in case you needed to see how things were going at the ol' homestead while you were out foraging for berries and non-poisonous mushrooms. But wait! If there's been an EMP then nothing will work anywa................! I suggest learning how to build a Faraday cage and storing your expensive battery in it when it's not needed. The solar panels are huge. Good luck figuring out how to keep them from getting melted if the bombs fall or the sun belches out a big one in our direction. But, you can only do what you can do...... So far, I really like my big battery. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it. If it should fail for some reason I will be here to update this review even before you hear the sonic boom I created getting here. Oh yeah! I forgot to mention shipping. The battery took about a week after ordering to arrive and it was very well packaged. The solar panel was shipped separately and took about another week (two weeks after initial order) to arrive in very good condition. I chose to purchase it through Amazon because I'm very familiar with Amazon and it was several hundred dollars cheaper than if I bought it directly from Ecoflow. And shipping is free with Prime. ... show more

  • Great product
Style: DELTA 2 Max 2048Wh
I have bought this product in November and it’s awesome. You can use it as an UPS which is a great feature. Also it comes with Bluetooth and thru their app you can see the status of your power station. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to buy a UPS/Power Station. It is quite portable, a little bit heavy but great durability. The design is awesome you have all the 120V outlets in the back so it’s a clean design, front ports are the USB A/C and on the sides you got the solar plug or for second battery. Works really well and the battery life last a long time. ... show more

  • Amazing Product, Even Better Support!
Style: DELTA 2 Max+220W Solar Panel
I started with the ECOFLOW Delta-2 by a mishap, but it was easily cleared up by their superior customer service. I now am the proud owner of the Delta 2 MAX. I have some photos of the readings from a gloomy/overcast/cloudy day, where I was still pulling some wattage to charge the system (around 35-45 watts) Then some sunny day shots of the panels set up using their built-in stand=works very well, especially since it is actually a built-in stand from the protective/zip up cover/storage for your expandable panels. They fold out easily and set up just as easy. Make sure to take advantage of the dual surface capabilities! I have pumped out 190+ watts using reflective materials that project the sun's rays unto the back of the panels as well. With the sun at 10-2 pm, and no reflective materials set up yet, I was cranking out 140-160 watts, as shown in the pics. I do not remember if I got the 190+ watt shots, but I will check my phone and post if I can find them, if not, I will get some as soon as I drain the MAX and have to charge it back up. These panels are rated at 220W, and saving you from boring details of specs etc., that equates to around 140-160+- watts during full sun in California. If you need to charge it fast for a trip, use the wall plug, it CRANKS the watts, I have a shot where its at 1152 wats from the wall outlet in my house. The max is portable and light for what it pumps out, "quietly". I am around 6' 200lb weight lifter type guy, and it is light for me, I can carry the generator in 1 hand, and the panels in the other, so many of you fellow muscle guys & gals will be able to do the same I'm guessing, otherwise, just make 2 trips or get a buddy. I also show some shots of it running a dyson vac & washing machine at the same time=EASY for the max. I ran my fridge with the D-2, so the max will have no problem with the fridge as well. The customer service is amazing, responsive to you within 24 hrs, sometimes within the same day=few hours even. They are so professional and kind, even fun to speak with. All have been from the Philippines, and I have YET to receive anything less than superior customer service quality from the Philippines, its as if they were born with superior CS skills built in. I am very grateful for their abilities to handle any and all issues I had after my initial purchase, and the follow up is just as high quality. AND, the issues were minor, and few. Mainly my misunderstanding of specs/etc. as I am quickly learning about the solar products. They have been a HUGE help & friends to my new venture into solar power. YES, I said FRIENDS! Think of one of your best friends, and they stand behind their products like a best friend would stand behind you. Why do I mention this? Because I know how I felt about purchasing my first solar generator, the anxiety & plethora of questions in my head. I have been researching for a few Years, and I am 100% glad I chose ECOFLOW, and I have complete confidence to put MY NAME on their customer service and product support. Bottom line, you CANNOT GO WRONG with ECOFLOW products if all their CS reps are like the ones I spoke with, PLUS their products are performing up to and beyond expectations! At this point, a few months in to owning the MAX, I am extremely happy, and satisfied with every aspect of their company, how often can any of us say that today? I will be investing in a whole home system sometime in the near future, and ECOFLOW is at the top of the list. ... show more
