  • Fun and educational game that also works on fine motor skills!
This is such an adorable game! We have a few Pete the cat books so I knew my 3 year old and 5 year old would love this game! All of the pieces are high quality and durable and I know we will be able to play this game for a long time! I am a big fan of games that are educational so I am thrilled to find another fun and educational game. This game helps teach my 3 year old about shapes, colors and how to match. The best part of this game is the squeezer because I’ve been trying to work daily on my 3 year old’s fine motor skills and the squeezer is the perfect way for her to work on it in a fun and different way by using the squeezer! I also love that she is learning how to follow directions and waiting for her turn...all important things for her to learn as she starts preschool soon. My 5 year old loved playing this game as well and she said she wants to play this game for our next family game night! We absolutely love playing this game and i think this will be the perfect gift for preschoolers and toddlers. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Fun Family Game!
Great family game! My boys are 6 and 9 and both enjoy playing this Pete the Cat game. My 6 year old loves the Groovy Buttons book and this was a great addition to that. It gives them an opportunity to reinforce or learn about shapes and colors. They use hand eye coordination and fine motor skills for picking up the buttons. The directions are easy to follow. Once an adult teaches them the rules no reading is required. We all laugh when someone has to share a button or lands on the “cool cat” and looses buttons. It helps teach patience when taking turns. To keep the game going we play for 2nd and 3rd place (etc). Once you get to 2 players it seems to take a bit longer to get a winner as each player keeps losing buttons. Lots of laughs and a great, easy to play family game. ... show more

  • Great for little ones
This is a well made game for little ones to learn how to take turns when playing a game. It’s educational and fun. Pete the cat tongs make the game extra engaging. I would recommend this game to preschool teachers or mothers of toddler’s.

  • We love Pete the Cat!
I knew this would be a success because both my girls (2 and 4 years old) love Pete the Cat! We also have this company's Squirrel game that has a similar setup. My kids like this one better just because it's Pete the Cat. It's durable and simple enough to follow. The only reason why I took off a star is because the tool to grab the buttons is a little difficult for my 4 year old's fingers to squeeze. Perhaps over time she will get better. ... show more

  • Great motor and developmental game for children under 6!
I run a home child care and love to play games with my children. They absolutely loved this game! It's a great game that provides fine motor skills as well as shape practice. Although the game doesn't also add in the idea of color recognition, we practiced our colors by letting our friends know what color and shape we were going to choose. The game also teaches sharing which was an added bonus! The children, surprisingly, loved to share buttons with their friends and didn't have a problem doing so (honestly, so much more mature than some adults I know!!). Highly recommend this game for ages 2-5. My 2 year old definitely have a hard time grasping the buttons with Pete the Cat but she did a great job of trying and we helped create a fun game even without her utilizing the tool. ... show more
