  • Not very durable
Color: Multi-color
My great grandson loves it. But it only lasted about 2 months. He went to take the lens cover off and it fell apart. So it had to be thrown away. Other than that it was perfect for him.

  • Doesn't work
Color: Multi-color
This was a waste of money. I bought this for my 5 year old and the tripod snapped into pieces in less than 24 hours. We took the telescope outside to look at the stars tonight and we couldn't see anything. The stars are bright tonight and the sky is clear but they were not visible through the telescope at all (and yes, the lense cover was definitely off). It doesn't do what it's designed to do and it is not durable for a preschooler. ... show more

  • Cute but not durable
Color: Multi-color
Arrived with piece broken off already. For the sale price we just super glued it back on. Definitely isn't for rough playing kids and I doubt it would survive a drop from a couch or table. The magnification isn't amazing, but its for little kids. They'll be able to see down to the end of the street or up into a tree, thats about it. We bought it for our granddaughter for that purpose.. to look down her yard at animals or up into trees. The only thing I wish is that it was made more durable because of the age range its targeted for. ... show more

  • Cute idea
Color: Multi-color
I like almost everything about this item. It does take a little getting used to. The item has to be about 20 feet or so away inorder for the image to be clear. If the objects in view are too close they will be blurry beyond recognition. Even the items far enough away won't necessarily be clear. This feature means your little one might be more likely to lose interest and walk away. My son still pretends play when that happens. If you noticed the tape in the picture that would be because my son broke it the 2nd day he had it. He had the tripod legs fully extended and the blue leg snapped where the yellow part of the stand broke. Essentially I added 3500e glue and then duct taped it to try to create a good hold since it was in an awkward spot. It has held up since the end of April (currently a day before father's day). One thing to note is that adults won't be able to see out of the telescope easily. The directions state that the distance between a child's eyes (pupil to pupil) is smaller than an adult's. It was made so that children can see through the eye piece. I usually close one eye when I help my toddler. Over all happy with this toy. We bought the binoculars, which he loved, and wanted to give this toy a try. I just wish the visual was better especially since there is no focuser. I think he would use it for its intended purpose more often if it was. ... show more

  • Great Preschool, Starter Telescope
Color: Multi-color
We ordered this on a Wednesday and it got here earlier than expected with the COVID, nonessential delivery schedule. Our kiddo loves it, and I'm not sure why there's hate for it here. When we opened it, they thought the instructions were a book and made us read it, so maybe that helped, but we find it useful and fun for them. A few things to know/note: It isn't designed for adult eyes, as the pamphlet says, so as an adult you can only see out one eye at a time, not both. The other thing is the magnification is larger than you may think, so you might be seeing something really close up and not recognizing it at all (this happened when we tried inside the house, we were looking at the wall but couldn't figure that out, so when we adjusted and looked further away, the trees outside, it was clearly the trees out of the window), so there is a bit of a learning curve (it took us about 15 minutes with a patient toddler) to help them figure out but once we got it and explained it to them, it's been a great and durable purchase (they're patient, not careful). We look at the birds, the clouds, and the moon when we can. I'd recommend it! ... show more

  • Cheap product. Do not buy
Color: Multi-color
I purchased this for my 4 yo a few months back as back-to-school present as he was starting his pre-k year. He is very passionate about space and planets and I thought it would be a great start to his telescope collections. We opened the box this weekend and to our surprise, even before putting it together, pieces started to come out in my hands including the lens. Quality is cheap and not something a kid can handle. Hardly does what it was meant to. Wouldn’t recommend this product at all. There are much better quality products available. Quality is extremely poor. A big disappointment for an excited kid. ... show more
