  • Nice bright LEDS with bonus package of resistors
Style: 5mm Constant Light Color: [03] Red-red / 100pcs
I used these to build my own 7-segment display and they all worked fine and had a nice bright red color. I recommend them highly.

  • Christmas Light (LED) Repair
Style: 5mm Constant Light Color: [01] 6 Color X 20pcs / 120pcs
Summary - Nice pack of LEDs to repair Christmas lights Pros - Common colors, good for Christmas lights - 20 of each color - Good price Cons - Base of light is wider than the light, so it doesn't sit down in the Christmas light base I used these to repair burned-out LEDs on several strands of C9 Christmas lights. I like the color choices, as they are common to most Christmas light strands. Mine are red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. This pack contains 20 of each of these colors along with 20 white and 2 packs of resistors which is a nice bonus feature (but not useful for repairing my Christmas lights). These function very well, my only minor complaint is that they do not sit snug down in the holder for the LED like the original ones. They do stay in place relatively well once you bend the wires around the base. Speaking of wires, they have a very long wires so once you bend them in place, you will need to snip off the excess. But... Make sure you don't snip off too much or the LED will not have proper contact and won't light (I found this out the hard way). These are very bright and the colors are true. I'll be buying them again. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. If this helped you, please consider giving it a thumbs up. Thank you. ... show more

  • RED/GREEN LEDs: Work well, but Anode(+) is MIDDLE pin!
Style: 5mm Constant Light Color: [16] Red&green (Common Anode) / 100pcs
Not sure why, but I was certain that when I originally bought these the middle pin was supposed to be the CATHODE (common or negative), and the outer left or right pin were for the anode (positive) to illuminate the red or green lights (I bought the dual color ones). When I hooked them up, though, it turned out the middle pin was what you connect the POSITIVE wire too. I'm fairly new to small electronics and LED lights, so I'm going to say the fault was my own. DO NOT use these without a resistor (you need a resistor on each outer pin). Do NOT put more than 5V through it WITH the resistor. The green lights did fine, but I blew out the red side on 4 or 5 of them before I realized my mistake. The green side still works, so they're not totally useless. Using these for flight simulator panels. They work really well and seem to be pretty consistent in size. You get a LOT of them for a few bucks, so I'm flush for now. If I needed more, though, I would happily buy them again! ... show more

  • Intensity mis match.
Style: 5mm Constant Light Color: [17] Red&green (Common Cathode) / 10...
I'm using several for status indicators. I just want them to light up and indicate the state of the circuit, not blind me. The green LED is especially bright. I have less clutter on the front panel with a dual color LED and having it change color from red to green and back is nicer than having two separate LEDs, with one on, and the other one off. The one thing I noticed right away is the disparity in brightness between red and green. For the same apparent brightness, I'm using a 5.76K Ohm resistor to drive the red LED, and a 61.9K Ohm resistor for the green one. They're both in a 12 VDC circuit. I only used these because they're the closest values I had on hand. The included resistors are way too low in value for my purpose. They just went into my parts drawer. I may find a use for them in the future. ... show more

  • Great buy for STEM
Style: 5mm Constant Light Color: [03] Red-red / 100pcs
The media could not be loaded. I bought these led lights to use in my classroom for making models of the Total Solar Eclipse. I only used 24 so far and they went through over 300 kids and they are very durable.

  • CORRECTION: These have nicely diffused lenses!
Style: 5mm Constant Light Color: [25] Rgb Tri-color (Common Cathode) / 10...
I PREVIOUSLY WROTE: If not experienced with these LEDs, be aware that they are extremely bright and can be uncomfortable to view directly...much brighter than most LEDs that are not clear before being powered. CORRECTION: Indeed, I bought some of the too-bright ones from another vendor but initially gave the wrong review here. Although the really bright ones are nice, too, I wanted a softer light to use in an audio-driven color organ; these work wonderfully for that. The clear-lens bright ones look too harsh even when projected through a diffuser. I recommend both types, but these with the diffused lenses are much easier on the eyes (and better for application such as color organs). ... show more

  • Works just like it says
Style: 5mm Constant Light Color: [03] Red-red / 100pcs
I'm surprised these worked because I had bought others recently from a different company and I had to return them since they would not light up/ the brightness was pretty low. Is the BRIGHTNESS good? Yes, the brightness is pretty good. Is it WORTH it? These LEDs are worth it. It comes with 100 and they do work. ... show more

  • Think Carefully When Using 12 Volts
Style: 5mm Constant Light Color: [25] Rgb Tri-color (Common Cathode) / 10...
Favorable remarks: neatly packaged and a tested set of the components appeared to perform as specified. I tested with continuous current at 12 volts through each anode, using the supplied resistors: 470 Ohms for red and 430 Ohms for green and blue. The individual colors were very distinct. Then I energized all three colors simultaneously. The RGB LED then gave a very bright, cool-white light. Current consumption remained steadily near 60 milliAmps during test period of 2 hours. Conclusion: I would feel confident using the products supplied at voltages up to and including 12 volts. However, the resistors became very hot. The reason may be that they are rated for 1/4 Watt = 250 milliWatts. For comparison, 20 milliAmps x 12 Volts gives 240 milliWatts. The resistors are being pushed almost to the upper limit of their specification. It seems prudent to think about ways to increase the margin of safety. For continuous operation at 12 Volts and 20 mA I would consider replacing the supplied, 1/4-Watt resistors with more robust, 1/2-Watt parts. Other alternative approaches might include reducing the supply voltage or pulsing the 12-Volt current using PWM. ... show more
