I give the Deebot U2 Pro 5/5 stars. I did a lot of shopping around, and based off of my personal needs, this vacuum robot seemed to be the best for me. My home is 900 sqft, with both hard floors and carpet. I have birds and a big husky mix who sheds non-stop. The Deebot is EXCELLENT on hard floors, and does a great job cleaning up birdseed under the bird cage. As far as getting every last dog hair up out of the carpet, not so much, and that's with the silicone brush attached. However, being as this is cheaper "low end" vacuum, I did not anticipate perfection. I just wanted a vacuum that would help me keep the floors tidy on a daily basis, and I still planned to manually vacuum my carpets once a week or as needed. This was important to me as I have a bad back. It is actually very quiet, it doesn't spook my birds, and my dog accepts its presence. I just tell it to clean, and hang out watching TV or work on other things while it cleans. I have had an issue with it getting stuck under my bed, but that is because I store things under there that it gets caught on. To combat this I just got the magnetic boundary strip to keep it from going under there. Occasionally it will alert me that the bumper is stuck, but in actually the Deebot just got stuck in a tight corner, so I just move the Deebot out of the position it is stuck in, and it's fine. Even though I do have the extra large bin inserted, it does fill up quickly, so I will dump it part way through cleaning, then tell it to continue cleaning. It WILL NOT TELL YOU THAT THE BIN IS FULL. I wish it did, but oh well. If you don't empty it, and it continues to clean, the bin will slide out due to the pet hair accumulating in the mouth of the bin and pushing it out. I found my Deebot "pantsless" the other day as it cruised about, and found the very full bin in another room. Oops! If you are looking for a 100% autonomous vacuum robot, this is not it. It will not create a viewable map in the app, but it does seem to have a decent idea of where it's already been, and has good coverage. I make sure the floor is clear of any hazards (or poops) before starting it, and then I make sure that I am available in case it gets stuck or needs dumped. I because I do not use scheduled cleaning, because I like to make sure the floor is hazard free first, and nobody wants to clean dog poop out of a vacuum. This routine works fine for me given how well it cleans. If you are willing to sacrifice some intelligence for a darn good little vacuum robot at a good price, then I highly recommend the Deebot U2 Pro. ... show more

Okay. So, I have a love/hate relationship with this vacuum. I like it because it does the job by itself without me having to be doing it and that is helpful as I do not have the time to be vacuuming daily. But does it deep clean and picks up everything? No. To be fair we have a Golden Retriever and he does shed a lot but you would think this would keep up with it specially if we also do our part and we also have her vacuum once two twice daily and we clean her out after each vacuuming but it does not. I’ve just decided to change from having carpet to a different type of flooring. Also, it gets stuck everywhere at times and you have to find her and put her on the right track again. Now, the problem we’re now having is that it won’t stop saying “Please clean my brush” after we have cleaned her and emptied out any trash there was. Also, it will continue to clean and clean the same spots she already went over and it’ll skip some that she hadn’t passed on. It makes me upset as it was not an inexpensive purchase and was honestly excited about having it (it’s our first robot vacuum). I would only recommend it if you have very little cleaning to do and flooring that isn’t carpet. We also didn’t get to use the mopping feature. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I can't really say I've been impressed with this vacuum. It's hit or miss and it does more to track hair across my floor than it does to pick it up. It also struggles a lot to stay in one direction and has suddenly begun to fail at staying in drive. I have cleaned it all throughout, and I'm currently in communication with support. However, based on what I've read here, I'm a few months outside the warranty so I will probably have to go through different means like switching brands. I think this is worth it for those who have no pets or pets with a very low shedding rate. ... show more

Gets lost and confused easily. Doesn't clean carpets well leaving not just dog's fur but also regular debris behind. Seems to prefer certain areas over the others for no good reason. Kept it simply because it was too late to send it back

I love this vacuum! We have a big dog and a toddler, so I schedule it to run every night and wake up to clean floors. It doesn’t have any issue doing our hardwood floors and area rug in the same cycle. It did get snagged up in our runner by the front door which is thin with a rubber back so I flip it over on itself in half each night and haven’t had a problem. I have found the mopping function works better without any streaking if I wet the mopping pad before attaching it to the bottom. I love that I can remove it from the dock and carry it up or downstairs as well and just hit the button and it vacuums while I’m playing with our daughter, or I can set it to leave from the docking station on the main floor and it (almost always) returns to it when complete. Battery life is great as well and I enjoy that there are different settings for suction power based on the type of flooring or how dirty it is. Did my research on robotic vacuums and used consumer report reviews to educated myself and this one came in very high in regards to dog hair (I have a lab pit mix) and it was not wrong! Only downside I've found is the collecting bin is small and needs to be emptied every other day for my 1k square foot single floor hardwood apartment. The robot isn't the smartest and sometimes couldn't find it's way home when I placed the charging dock in the corner but once I moved it to a more central location, it worked great! Considering the price of the top of the line robots and the price of this one, I am blown away with how well its works. ... show more
