  • Heavy duty and easy to assemble ground mount
I purchased two sets for use with 8 eco-worthy solar panels, and for a rolling DIY solar panel ground mount. Assembly couldn't be easier. I noticed in other reviews of the concern over the span between legs being subject to sagging and I agree with that concern. ( snow load an issue where ai am) I considered a few different ways to fix that and just decided to purchase a third set. That gave me another leg and another cross member that matched up with what I already have, at very reasonable cost, given other alternatives.(Plus all the extra hardware) . The only negative is the ability to raise and lower angle for the different seasons EASILY. I'll have to work on that, but its only twice a year that I need to change it. Mike ... show more

  • Required some improvising but the price was right
This rack isn't top quality but it does the job, and cheaply. Assembly was a bit challenging without a second pair of hands to help. I was surprised that the legs weren't firmly fixed to the rest of the rack but instead pivot in their brackets. This makes the rack very rickety until you can affix the feet to something. Once installed, though, it did its job well. ... show more

  • Worth buying when the price is right.
I have purchased this solar mounting kit to organize my heavy glass 100W solar panels. Before this I built my own temporary supports with sprinkler system tubing but it was built to move panels in and out. I needed something permanent and was going to build my own out of aluminum parts when I stumbled upon this. I waited until the price got lower and purchased to see if it will work out. It does work for me but you need to consider the price as it fluctuates quite a bit. Few comments on assembly and overall sturdiness. Assembly was not too complicated but you might need help of another person to put both supporting sides together. It can be done by one person but because of the length of the kit it is quite tricky. The mounting brackets are actually very well made and very functional for your typical glass on metal frame solar panels. There is enough brackets to install 4 panels. Now, to the reasons I am taking one star off. There are plastic protectors supplied with the kit to protect the rough metal ends of the kit. Great idea but the fit is loose and they tent to fall out, sometimes even when I am not touching the mount. Not sure how, if it is wind or some animals bumping into the mount but they do. Second reason is that if you only have 2 panels mounted, the kit sags in the middle a bit. I have not put my other 2 panel just yet and hope it will reduce sagging by putting weight on the other side of the kit but I will see when I mount them. In the end, I like it enough that I will buy another set when the price goes back down. ... show more

  • ECO-WORTHY Adjustable Multi-Pieces Solar Panel Mounting Bracket
The nuts, bolts, clamps are in separate bags, this makes assembly go faster. I did find that the connector sleeves for joining the horizontal rails to be a very loose fit. This causes the rails to sag, you will need to lay the rails on a solid flat surface in order to bolt these rails with out bowing. The red protective end caps do not fit this version of Uni-Strut. I had to use silicone to keep them inside the rails. Also, there should have been supports included, to the help keep the legs from rocking over sideways. You can rack the entire frame sideways, while you are installing the solar panels. The frame is galvanized to prevent rusting, but the -4- welded feet are merely aluminum painted. All in all, I feel that the frame is well worth the money for an easy solar panel mounting solution, just not of Uni-Strut quality ... show more

  • Short legs
I needed to put up four 200W PV panels in a big hurry. This kit saved me sourcing all of the parts separately myself. I think it was intended for a certain roof pitch, because the angle is not very adjustable. If you put it on a flat roof, platform, or slab on grade, the angle is way too low for the central USA latitudes. If you live near the equator, then it is probably perfect. What it needs is longer back legs, that cut to length. Most of the parts are the Asian version, of what the trade calls, "Uni-strut". I believe Uni-strut is a trademark. The kit has a bunch of "Strut Nuts" that slide into the channels. These nuts have plastic spacers, instead of the usual steel spring, to hold them in place. Kind of irritating, but functional. All hardware is metric. The material is galvanized to prevent rust, and made of heavy enough gauge metal to do the job. The directions leave something to be desired, but the fasteners are all bagged in separate kits for each step, so it works OK. The panels mount with extruded aluminum friction clamps, not fasteners, but that also seems to work. Everything is shaky and loose until you finish the installation. There are no wire-ways to organize cables, so you either must run conduit, or wire-tye the cables in place. If you have time to make your own parts, then I would suggest that is probably a better option. Addendum: The kit survived a Colorado Winter at 8500 feet elevation. Fully exposed on three sides, North side is protected by a building. Usual strong wind, but less than the usual 4 feet of snow accumulation. ... show more
