I have been using Apple iPads for the past 13 or 14 years, since the first generation to 10th generation, never thought of switching to a different brand until I found this one. It's a game changer. First, it is a smart hub for every smart devices: smart thermostat, google nest cam, nest doorbell etc. Also it is a smart TV including around 8-10 channels like CBS, ABC, Bloomberg, TMZ. It contains a separate speaker which we don't find from a regular tablet. I have been watching the sitcom show "the Middle" in the past few days. Similar to a regular echo dot, you can ask Alexa to play music or news. Amazon AI makes it a really powerful device. I highly recommend this Amazon Echo Show 8 to everyone. Disclosure: I bought 4 devices recently (2 white and 2 black). Already installed 3 of them so far. ***update: I installed a Google Nest Smart Doorbell last week, after adding “Google nest” skill into “skills and games” from Alexa app, now I am able to tell this Echo Show 8 “show me who’s at front door”, then the view at fornt door would show up at the screen. ... show more

I visited my son and he had this Amazon Show. I said I liked it so he got it for me for Xmas. Was just delivered. Very neat. Gives me easy voice access vs typing the small iPhone keyboard. Can help me control other systems like my ecobee thermostats in multiple homes, my irrigation system, my security cameras, and my Sonos sound systems. I’m seeing lots of other uses like quick weather reports, stock results, news, to-do lists, shopping lists, etc. Looking forward to learning all the things this nifty device can perform. ... show more
