  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Works PERFECT if you install it right
I purchased this system after much deliberation. Was between the rollers, and this system but I decided this would have better chances of working. The answer is yes it works and is stops cats from coming in as well. Neighbors' cats have jumped on my fence but the mesh is a big deterrent. My guess is cats and other species evaluate obstacles in a visual/spatial way an they simply see the mesh as a no-no obstacle they don't want to mess with. I installed the mesh two months ago and my cats have not even tried to go over it. They looked at it trying to figure out how to get out but now they only look up when squirrels run along the fence. BTW the squirrels also stay away from the mesh although they do jump to the tree in my garden using the branches. The cats have climbed up a couple trees I have and I know they could physically jump over the mesh but they can't see where they are going to land on the other side and the mesh is just a big visual deterrent to them. Installation was some work because I had a large are to work on and had to custom cut wood for the corners so that the mesh fits better when meeting at the corners, however the hard work paid off. My only complaint is the black screws provided could be a little longer but they worked fine after all. You can feel confident if you get this fencing product it will work but make sure to cover the gaps under the mesh if your fence has gaps between the wood planks. One of my cats dug himself out thru one of those when I had almost finished and then he could not get back in. If gaps are covered and nothing is there for them to jump over the fence it will be like a fortress and your cats will be safe inside. Also, make sure the mesh goes up about a foot over the fence when you attach the poles. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars High quality materials and easy to assemble.
This product works well, is high quality metal material and the black netting isn’t that noticeable when installed. This has kept my cat from escaping the back yard by climbing over the wooden fence. The only thing to note is the black bars mount flush with the fence check if the top of your fence allows for that or otherwise you may need to modify the fence to attach it. I’d highly recommend this to people who are skeptical. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Measure and have all your tools ready. It did take two people but was finished in one afternoon.
The media could not be loaded. I liked it because it looked better than our home made job and it has kept out little guy in and safe.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Good kit.
Simple but effective. The kit comes with overhang extenders to install on the fence, screws to mount them, a giant roll of deer netting, and zip ties. The kits come with sufficient overhang extenders to put one every 8.33 feet along the fence (12 overhang extenders for the 100 foot kit, 24 for 200 foot kit and so forth) but I ended up installing one overhang extenders every ~4 feet along my fence so I used all 12 for a much smaller length of fence than 100 feet. I cut the deer netting down to size— the netting provided is much taller than needed to cover the overhang extenders. Then you use the zip ties to secure the netting to the overhang extenders. I also used industrial racks (staples) and a tack hammer to secure the netting to the fence itself. Probably not totally necessary but I think it helped. Overall I am pleased with this product. Update 2 weeks later: Somehow one of my cats got over the fence. I didn't see how she did it. Maybe she literally can just jump WAY higher than I gave her credit for. My fence itself is not that tall, so I don't think it's the fault of this kit. I think somehow my little escape artist jumped high enough to land over th overhang extender. Hmmm. I would still buy this kit again. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and quality materials
I used this to fence in my townhome backyard because our cats like to explore our neighbors yards. The arms are durable metal and I had no issues getting them into place on my own (although I highly recommend an initial pilot hole for at least one screw and once that's in you can get the others in easily). I needed some help managing the fencing only because it's pretty tall but it can totally be done solo with someone who is patient and focused. We ended up using heavy duty magnet hooks to adhere it to our metal townhouse but only felt ok because I could hide the transition from curved to straight fencing with curtains. Get everything in place first and then go back to cut down the edges a bit. We also have this fencing near a raised part of our landscaping that is only about 4 feet but, so fa, the cats seem to think it's more trouble than it's worth to try and scale here but we'll keep an eye on it and report back. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good!
I’ve tried multiple ways to keep my cats enclosed in the yard. So far (one month in) this is the only thing that’s worked. The price is high for what is included, and the netting will need to be replaced frequently most likely. But, the price is worth it in the sense that it is doing what it is supposed to do. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install
Installing the extender was easy. I spent about 2 hours from start to finish putting it together. I ordered the 100-foot kit that came with 12 overhang extenders and over 100 feet of heavy duty deer fence. I marked it 4/5 because of cost.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Seems to work.
This was a pain to install and way too expensive for what you get, but it's keeping the kitties contained. Unfortunately it doesn't keep neighbor cats from getting in 🙄
