Features

  • POWERFUL - Powered by a strong, 160cc 4-Cycle Viper engine. The Earthquake Walk Behind String Mower chops down your unsightly weeds and stubborn brush with ease. The large 14-inch wheels allow you to float through thick grass, weeds, brush, nettles, and other foliage too difficult for push mowers to overcome.
  • DURABLE - Our one-piece steel deck provides strength and stability while reducing vibration. Super tough nylon line has a cutting swath of 22 to get the job done quickly.
  • CONVENIENT- Never-go-flat wheels ensure that your equipment is ready to go when you are. An integrated clutch and hand bail system safely keeps the String Mower motor running, but disengages and stops the trimmer head if you need to clear debris, eliminating the need to re-start your motor each time.
  • OUT-OF-THE-BOX: The setup is super simple with virtually zero assembly required. Simply unfold and tighten the tool-less handlebar knobs. Also included in the box are starter strings for the mower head and 4 cycle engine oil.
  • WARRANTY AND SERVICE: Earthquake is committed to providing a great product and an even better user experience which is why the Earthquake Walk Behind String Mower is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

  • Best trimmer investment I’ve ever made
Style: 160cc Viper
I did a lot of research and decided on this trimmer because of the reviews and the engine size and the price. Set up is literally just fold up the handle and tighten 2 thumb screws then add the oil. I was very happy that the motor oil came with it. Installed the strings and it was ready to go. Mine has a fuel primer bulb and it started on 3rd pull. It cuts really well even in the heavy stuff. Woody stalks up to about 1/2” are no problem. It won’t cut the thicker stuff at the base but you can tilt the trimmer up and cut the branches down. My place was really overgrown because of the summer heat and and I have a sore back. This trimmer cuts the work by 75% of my big double handle Stihl hand held weed whacker. It starts easily even when hot and is very easy push with no back ache when you’re done. I was surprised at how easily it pushes. The big wheels Really make a difference. You will change string often in the heavy stuff and especially around chain link fences but that’s true with any trimmer and at least it’s pretty easy to do. I sort of wish it had an auto feed line dispenser is about the only criticism I have for it. Honestly though, I battle the darn auto feeds on my other trimmers and I was interested in this to see how much trouble it would be to change strings. It is very quick and easy. Be sure to buy extra line because it only comes with a few starter pieces. I bought a big roll and cut my own sections. I think I’m gonna try some steel cable instead of the plastic stuff. I have 3 good quality Stihl trimmers of different sizes and this wIll replace them as my first go to tool. Wish I had bought this years ago instead of my big Stihl trimmer except I can run a metal blade with my hand held to knock down the really bad stuff. This machine reduces how much I have to cut with hand held tremendously so it’s a good combo for me. I have 70 acres in north east Texas and this is a real time saver and back saver for me. Excellent bang for the buck. ... show more

  • Three foot weeds and inch and half vegetation knocked down like using a hot knife in butter
Style: M205 String Mower
It is so easy to setup: 1) handle adjustment and tighten hand knobs 2) Add oil don’t come with funnel I made one with dried out water bottle 3) Uses 85% fuel no more than 10% ETH 4) Push little gas prime rubber button to get gas to carburetor 5) Pull the start rope 6) Pull in safety arm at top of handle just like any mower to engage rotor 7) The big wheels make it so easy to steer and use. Just walk behind the power will almost pull you along fence. 8) It cut high grass, those thick tough to break weed mini trees along fence and is same height as standard driveway. Just walk and steer, no issue with power, or engjne being over powered by weeds, best dang money I’ve spent in a long time! 9) My lazy son late 20s even came out there to see, I put him to work. He was surprised and putting in new string ties is as easy as tying a bow tie in shoe laces. Straight thru to eye holes then crisscross thru center metal loop. Once the torque of rotor starts straightens line right out. Son mowed two yard fences (five full fences and two yard back fence by train tracks. Those nasty stick weed combination. Cuts a two foot path on a pass so riding mower set on three same height and no more pain in rear corners or high fence weeds or riding mowers catch a nail in fence. Fantastic weed eating machine!!!! ... show more

  • Order some line. Head needs to be off center.
Style: 160cc Viper
It works well. Starts easy, usually on the first or second pull. It will be difficult to start if you pull the cord then remember the on/off button is on off. It may then take several pulls to finally get it to start. It would be nice if the head was off center, that would make it a lot easier to cut the grass under a fence. You need a pair of needle nose pliers when removing old and line and install new. The spindle does not have a lock, so it will be trying to turn when removing/installing line. The line that comes with the unit will not last very long so order/buy some higher quality line to start with. I have a large yard (12+ acers) to get from one place to another, I hook the handle over the ball hitch of my 4 x 4 and tow it, watch to make sure the cable is not dragging. I would buy it again, however, if I should, I will look for one with the head off set to the left or right. ... show more

  • Cuts grass and thick weeds like butter comes assembled
Style: M205 String Mower
The media could not be loaded. I chose Amazon for the price . And I chose Earthquake because I have a tiller that’s an Earthquake brand and it lasted over five years so far. What I like about this Weed eater mower Is that it comes assembled out the box . It started up like a charm . I was able to start mowing less than an hour after getting it out the box . I do not like where the oil port is .You are definitely going to need a funnel . It cuts grass and weeds very well, especially thick grasses . I’ve only used it one day so far and I am happy. I love the look of it. Very sporty has good power not very loud only 77 pounds so it’s easy to maneuver good value for your money. If anything changes for the negative, I I will update my review . ... show more

  • Kill switch never worked and belt tension broke in 2 uses
Style: 160cc Viper
I bought this product a couple of weeks ago. I read the directions and put oil and gas in it. It fired right up but when I tried to use the on/off switch it didn't work. Decided to use it to run the gas out in case I had to return or take it somewhere for repair. Then the engine throttle suddenly stopped working. Called Ardimas for Customer Service. They are sending a new switch, but they told me to tension the belt for the throttle. I did, according to manufacturers directions, and it still doesn't work. That is 2 issues in less than 30 days, one of which renders this equipment unusable. Now I'll have to take this into a place an hour away (whom I've already contacted) to get it looked at by someone for the warranty. That place has already said they will have to look up how to repair it online because they don't work on them often. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. ... show more

  • Great machine, lousy cutting string.
Style: M205 String Mower
This is a great walk behind string mower. The one thing that could make it better would be if had a drive option. It's not fun pushing or pulling back up a hill. The worst part us the cutting line. It needs to be made of a stronger material. This line breaks way to easily. Fix that issue and you have an awesome machine. ... show more

Style: M205 String Mower
Nice trimmer for heavy grass. The thick briars are harder to cut. Very hard to start sometimes.
