The Avila II is the most comfortable chair I have ever used. With the infinite adjustment, the client can be placed in more comfortable and workable positions than they can be on most other chairs. The down side to this is that set up requires more time, and the therapist must become very familiar with the chair for fast and efficient client adjustment. The frame is not "plastic" but carbon fiber. Company rates it to 350 lbs. Despite the strength rating, the chair has an unsteady feel....it sways from side to side a bit. It isn't drastic, and so far, most have enjoyed the rocking sensation. But some may find the looseness unsettling. This is my biggest complaint. Another little thing is the tightness of the carrying case. In my opinion, an extra quarter inch at the top would make packing this chair 300 times easier. This is the only difficulty in breaking the unit down. All the other features on this chair reflect the quality and ingenuity that I've come to expect from Earthlite. And all in all I am very pleased with the Avila II. ... show more

I didn't have chance to use that massage chair , in the first day the " chest level handle " was broken . The massage chair generally looks strong and reliable except for the handles. I read the comments of people in advance about that problem but thought that this will not happen to me. in massage colleges, I was recommended this chair as the most reliable in the market among all others and I basically believe this .. it really looks that way. The only thing that was not enough for manufacturers is to pay more attention to the fastening units. ... show more

Chair and carry case is quite heavy. Clumsy at times; tends to fall sideways at times; needs a broader base at wheels. A number of handles to adjust when setting up & breaking down. 2 screw knobs to adjust for face plate. Annoying when working with a number of people. Breast plate & face plate "give" during massage. I am uncomfortable with that. I purchased it from a warehouse as "out of box" so price was $89. less. Also it is ALL plastic so I can not leave it in my car because of frigid temps. Must drag it in the house after every work day and reload it every work day. Exhausting!Would not reccomend paying $500. for this chair. My clients say it is comfortable. First of all, the chair itself is great. I love the adjustments but they take some getting used to. I did not receive the full package with the video or any instructions whatsoever- even though it said it came with it. Also, my chair came in damaged with the plastic under the cushion damaged. The box wasn't damaged so it wasn't a shipping error. It was sent to me that way. Nobody responded when I contacted the seller via email. I just received the chair in the carrying case. The seat is not adjustable but the chest pad is and the arm rest is adjustable. I love how the client can practically lay down. I wish it came with more instructions as how to accommodate all sizes. I also wish that for what I paid, it would have arrived as promised. ... show more

It's very sturdy. Mostly easy to set up. The seat does not adjust , only one position. Screws for the adjustment of the heights of the face cradle should have been levers. Otherwise it's great.

This is an excellent massage chair. We recently upgraded to this chair from another Earthlite model. While the other chair was good, we have patients that range quite a bit in height and weight. This chair is rated for up to 350 pounds and the chair is extremely sturdy and stable. All of our massage therapists have commented on how easy it is to use, and that it helps them with their body mechanics. We use the chair to serve between 15-25 patients, six days a week, and it is holding up well. Since this chair is used in our clinic and not for events, we don't use the accompanying travel carrier, however I was very impressed by its quality. Definitely a five-star product. ... show more

Both these tables broke with patiens on them in 24 hours of each other. theres is a PLASTIC bar that is weight bearing on the bottom. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT I CALLED THE COMPANY TO TELL THEM BUT IF THEY ARE SELLING THEM, THEY DO NOT CARE. BOTH MY PATIENTS CRUMBLED TO THE GROUND --DO NOT BUY THIS.
