  • Designed for the serious gardener with an extra large heavy duty tray bed measuring 24 X 15. The tray is made of a heavy gauge PP material that will allow you to carry heavy pots of maturing plants without the tray buckling or flexing out of shape
  • Has a clear shatter proof lid with two oversized vents which can be opened or closed as needed to control humidity and optimize seed germination and the growth of immature seedlings. The crystal clear lid will not deteriorate under the heat of grow lamps nor reduce the effectiveness of the lamp to seed germination
  • Has a side vented height extension which elevates the lid as the plants being to grow and adds additional capability in adjustment of airflow and humidity present under the dome. The height extension provides 12.75 of depth between the base of the tray and the dome for maturing seedlings
  • Will allow for up to 60 units of 2 X 2 germinating trays and as plants mature up to 6 units of 8 pots safely held in a water proof tray perfect for capturing excess moisture following watering. Description

The EarlyGrow 95446 heavy duty oversized herb and seed propagator is designed for use in the germination of seeds protection of young seedlings in an environment which optimizes conditions for germination and growth. The vented lid and height extensions allow for control of humidity during germination and when closed can preserve moisture and heat improving results. The clear dome will not reduce the effectiveness of grow lights nor degrade under UV light. The lid and height extension can be used outdoors for direct sewn seeds during the early and late season protecting the seeds and young seedlings from cold or inclement weather. It is easy to add additional height extensions to permit plants to mature both indoor or outdoors in a sheltered environment. The height extensions can be easily assembled and disassembled using the provided hardware for compact storage when not in use. Non toxic, the 95446 is a friend to organic gardeners. This set includes 8 security clips, which lock the sides to the lid, allowing the user to lift off the top all in one piece. The clips make the propagator much more stable to move around.

    • A Bit Pricey But Well Worth the Money - Well Made and Easy to Assemble
Size: 2 Side Extenders with no Clip Set
I had debated about buying one of these for some time. I tried a few home grown setups using various clear plastic totes and containers with mixed results. After struggling with these setups I finally decided to get a nice unit made for the purpose. I needed one about this size (LxW) and I had not thought about one with sections to change the height, but that works out real well so I am glad I chose this model. The base is very strong so you can moved it around when loaded without it wanting to twist or bend so that is nice - not that you would move it a lot. It was real easy to assemble using the provided plastic nuts and bots and provided tool. I don't know how well they will hold up if you intend to break it down when not in use as it's made to disassemble for storage, but you could easily just replace the plastic hardware with stainless steel. The sections have a nice lip that extends down about a 1/4 in or more so each section is held firmly in place with the one below it. The top section is only an inch or so high so you can remove it easily to mist plants or add water, even if your lights are close to the cabinet. I have it on top of a heat mat too and using the provided vents am able to keep the temp around 80 degrees with no problem. It takes a little tweaking of the vents to get it right and I recommend a hygrometer to monitor the conditions inside. It was a bit pricey, but it's well made and should last a long time and it beats any homemade options I could come up with. If you're serious about starting seeds or clones, this a must have in my mind and this unit is probably one of the best you can get in my opinion. ... show more

It took me a minute too assemble but once I figured out to line it up assembly was a breeze, I use it to germinate my cannabis seeds and it works great for germination it holds humidity extremely well and is well worth the purchase!!!

Size: 2 Side Extenders with no Clip Set
I've used propagators on and off for several years, usually the more flimsy trays and equally flimsy short or tall domes. They do the job, but you have to put the bottom tray in something sturdy, especially with pots inside, to even think about moving them. This is definitely a step up from those and, compared to the prices I've seen some of those at - especially with the taller domes - reasonably priced imo. The bottom tray in this propagator is nice, thick plastic; very sturdy, won't twist or warp when picked up, even when filled with pots. It's got a nice lip to hold on to, so it won't slip out of your hands. The side height extender panels are easy to put together (one or both), though a bit tedious. Everything fits together well, and I like the larger size - length, width and height - of this setup compared to others out there. Well made, and should last many years. What kept me from giving 5 stars are minor grievances, but they are small things that could make this a truly great setup for the homeowner who likes to propagate their plants. - For the lid of the dome, some sort of handle - either one on top, or two on the sides - would be helpful for lifting the lid off. As it is, you have to slide your finger under the lip, lift up, then use both hands (more than likely) to take the lid off and set aside. A handle(s) would make this a much easier, simpler, faster process, especially if wanting to mist multiple times a day, etc. - For the side height extenders, I understand the concept behind having each side a separate panel you then put together when in use; with each panel separate, this makes storage much easier and takes up less space. I can see, though, that after a time or two of putting together and taking apart, the soft plastic screws and nuts will wear out and end up being totally useless. Some other mechanism of holding the panels together (clips, etc) OR providing either metal or much harder plastic screws and nuts would eliminate this problem. - This propagator does not keep a level of humidity inside that will completely fog the inside of the unit, it does not seal tight enough for that. For me, that isn't an issue, but depending on what you're growing/propagating, it could be. If the lip of each height extender, and the corners where they connect together, as well as the lip of the lid had a rubber or foam gasket of some kind to create an actual seal, you'd have no trouble getting everything to fog up nicely. All in all, I would recommend this propagator, and would likely buy another should I have need to. It would, however, be nice to see some of the above added in to this design. I know it would increase the cost somewhat, but I think the benefit and improvement would be worth it. ... show more

Perfect for fresh cuttings all the way to young plants. I have 3 of these and threw out all my cheap domes/trays. Works for seep propagation, clone rooting, small plants, isolating new plants before introducing to your other plants, stack the walls and use for an IPM spraying area. So many uses! Very solid thick plastic chamber structure with multiple vents and is made in lego block fashion so everything snap together easy and you can add sections to the Chamber to make as short or all as you want. You can also buy height extensions separately in the future if you need more height. Most heating mats for seedlings can fit with no problem and the clear plastic structure allows full spectrum grow light's in and the plastic is always clear and not affect like turning yellow or hazy from UV or other lights. Pros- 1. Build quality and toughness 2.Multiple vents 3. Option to add height section's/extender's 4. soild thick base/bottom tray with veins for water flow molded into the plasitc. 5. Allows grow lites and has UV light protection Cons- 1.Very teadus to assemble the height extension's using the provided plastic screws, nuts, and molded screwdriver 2. do way to hang a light on the inside of the top roof section 3. No way to run any type of power cord to the inside of the chamber as it has no rubber flap port anywhere the push plugs though unless you leave the top open. 4.
