This case is very nice and provides a professional folio look and feel, and I bought it specifically to take notes at work. This c case provides 360 degree protection and very well made I received my Kindle a day ahead of this case, and quickly found that the magnet pen was awkward to transport just being magnetically attached to the side of my Kindle. I quickly put my Kindle in this case the same day it arrived. This case has a cradled slot that makes your pen completely secure while maintaining its magnetic attachment to your Kindle, so no risk of losing it or falling off and is easy to take out. I don't think I will ever use the 360 rotating ability, but nice it's there I guess. Overall very pleased and makes holding the kindle to read is much easier to hanle. I previously had the denim cover by Amazon and the fabric frayed on the sides. It didn't have a good vertical stand on it and I would forget to put the pen back in the loop and leave it places or it would get nudged out. This one is such an improvement. The stand folds flat inside the cover and gives you two good prop up positions, one more vertical. It is a very stable stand. I will not lose a pen again. The pen attaches magnetically to the scribe AND has a good compartment to hold it in place, yet is easy to remove as well. It is also just intuitive to put it back in place and not have the tendency to put it down on a table. I originally bought the Amazon case that comes in the Scribe bundle but quickly realized it did not provide the level of protection during travel that I wanted. This cover is extremely well made, can be used in a professional setting, and is very sturdy so offers a high level of protection. I like that it has a place for the pen and I've never had it fall out. The stand works great and the ability to rotate the Scribe is a plus. The only negative is that it is heavy but I don't really mind that. I'd rather have something that looks great and protects my Scribe. ... show more

This case works well for the Kindle Scribe but does add to the weight of the device. I did not find the rotating cover to be of value and don't really use that feature. It is heavy duty and protects the Scribe well. The ability to hold the pen is awesome.

    • I DON'T Like It, But Will Keep It.

This is a nicely designed case for the Kindle Scribe. It is substantive, which some have complained makes their device too heavy, but I actually like the extra heft. The extra padding, I think, provides superb protection for the device, especially the screen. The pen holder is nice also, as it allows the pen to magnetically attach to the device but adds extra support in the form of a sort of cradle so it won't fall off or get knocked off. It's also very easy to remove the pen. It takes all of 15 seconds to figure out how to use the different positions of the stand and there is an instruction card included it case some might find it a little difficult. The Scribe snaps into the case easily and is held adequately. The ability to rotate the device is a nice touch but not a game changer. Here's what I don't like: There is a cutout for the charging port, but not for the power/wake button or the charging indicator light. It also lacks a place to store extra pen tips, but the case this one replaced had a small container for that purpose and it happens to fit in the space below the pen cradle. Finally, the manufacturer decided to forego magnets to keep the case closed (or they are very weak if they exist at all) and instead they have an elastic strap neither mentioned in the description nor shown in any of the photos, to keep it closed. I can see this strap losing elasticity over time. I wouldn't consider any of these critical but at this price, omitting them shows a laziness in the design that reduces the overall value and makes it overpriced. Still, those cons are minor enough that I'll keep the case, but important enough that I can't recommend it. ... show more
