This vacuum is wonderful. I love that it has no cord. It does a good job with suction power. My only complaint is that I wish the charge lasted longer, but I love this vacuum.

    • My favorite vacuum ever
I am so happy that I've purchased this. I've used it weekly for about a month - and so far I love it! I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and was looking for a stick vacuum that could handle both hardwood floors AND carpet. This was a great choice. My previous vacuum was pretty bulky and it was very loud and started to smell when I used it, so I dreaded vacuuming. I would do it like every 6 months or even once a year (I really, really hate vacuuming), and with 2 cats and myself, who has long hair, that was not good. So once I moved to a new place, I vowed to do vacuuming once a week. This Dyson stick vacuum is perfect for that. It is not as loud as my previous vacuum so that is pretty nice. The suction is amazing so it picks up a lot of hair/fur from my floors. Vacuuming is no longer a dreaded chore. I also love how it is super easy to empty the container - I empty it every time I use it. I hated emptying my old vacuum because it was such a big event, but for this one, it's a matter of pulling it open and boom - the container is open and the contents easily drop into the trash. The vacuum doesn't take up a lot of space, so when I'm done, I can store it in a small closet. I know others have commented on the battery life - honestly, that may be an issue if I lived in a home with lots of rooms to cover. But I think it's perfect for apartments. I can vacuum my bedroom multiple times before I have to recharge it. Anyways, I do think it's worth it. It is pretty expensive, but so far it has been worth every dime. My parent's Dyson vacuum has lasted decades... I hope this one lasts forever too. ... show more

    • Horrible Battery Life
Great vacuum cleaner. It's lightweight. Easy to use. I like the attachments and how easily to converts to a handheld vacuum. The suction is outstanding. Here is what I absolutely hate about it and what ruins everything else for me: the battery life. It lasts so little. Especially if you use the turbo option. It lasts less than 30 minutes. It's super disruptive when cleaning and you're stuck waiting for it to charge so you can continue using it. I have heard the Dyson V15's battery life is way better. I wish I would've gotten that instead. I know it's more expensive. It's a huge disappointment because this vacuum is not cheap. It's several hundred dollars. And I think it's so disrespectful to the consumer spending all this money on a vacuum cleaner for us to not be able to fully use it as intended because the manufacturer couldn't produce a better battery. Having to stop and recharge every 20 to 30 minutes is a joke. I'll be returning it. ... show more

    • Best vacuum for pet hair
After going through many different makes of vacuum cleaners, I have finally found one that works for the fur of our long-haired dog. I had heard how great the Dyson series of vacuums were, but was always put off by the cost. Finally, after being frustrated by other brands which were effective for a period, but then became more useful as doorstops than as a cleaner, I made the decision to "bite the bullet" and spend the extra money on the brand name vacuum. The first time I used my Dyson, it picked up handfuls of fur from areas that I thought were clean. The carpets look cleaner, and hardwood floors pristine. Suction is strong even on the lower setting to make floors look like new. Emptying the canister is as easy as could be. Battery life is sufficient to clean my small home. I love that by placing the Dyson in the wall hanger it attaches directly to the charger. No searching for charging cords, or charging/change detachable batteries. My Dyson is always ready and charged whenever I need it. It is neatly tucked away, taking up little room. Being an older person, I appreciate the fact that the Dyson is lightweight and easily maneuvered. It is light enough that when the head is removed and used separately, makes cleaning our carpeted stairs easier than ever. In summary, I love my Dyson, and would recommend that the extra cost is well worth it. You will save yourself the frustration of purchasing multiple machines which are not effective. and which will end up costing more in the long-run. My only regret is that by thinking of the cost I was actually denying myself the "pleasure" of a cleaner home. I don't worry about how much our beautiful dog sheds, and can enjoy her playful personality. ... show more

    • Very effective vacuum
The media could not be loaded. I have a lab mix that sheds like nobody’s business. These are my car’s back seat mats. Wiry dog hair tends to weave its way into to carpets and most vacuums won’t make a dent. I’m very impressed with this! I will confirm, the battery life on Max power isn’t great. However, it is rare that I need to use it for too long. Once you’ve done your deep cleaning with this thing, maintenance only requires a quick pass over everything so the battery power doesn’t bother me. Additionally, I don’t have a superrr huge superrrr carpeted house so that may be a bigger issue for someone else. ... show more

    • I love this vac!
This is the greatest little vac! It is lightweight, vacuums hardwood/tile well, and takes up very little storage space. I find I am vacuuming much more often now because it is just so fast and easy to use. I have not touched my full sized Dyson in weeks! It can vacuum rugs, but it probably would not be good for a whole room of wall-to-wall carpet. It's perfect for hardwood, though. I only have one carpeted room, so I just use the roomba in there. ... show more
