    • My favorite vacuum ever
I am so happy that I've purchased this. I've used it weekly for about a month - and so far I love it! I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and was looking for a stick vacuum that could handle both hardwood floors AND carpet. This was a great choice. My previous vacuum was pretty bulky and it was very loud and started to smell when I used it, so I dreaded vacuuming. I would do it like every 6 months or even once a year (I really, really hate vacuuming), and with 2 cats and myself, who has long hair, that was not good. So once I moved to a new place, I vowed to do vacuuming once a week. This Dyson stick vacuum is perfect for that. It is not as loud as my previous vacuum so that is pretty nice. The suction is amazing so it picks up a lot of hair/fur from my floors. Vacuuming is no longer a dreaded chore. I also love how it is super easy to empty the container - I empty it every time I use it. I hated emptying my old vacuum because it was such a big event, but for this one, it's a matter of pulling it open and boom - the container is open and the contents easily drop into the trash. The vacuum doesn't take up a lot of space, so when I'm done, I can store it in a small closet. I know others have commented on the battery life - honestly, that may be an issue if I lived in a home with lots of rooms to cover. But I think it's perfect for apartments. I can vacuum my bedroom multiple times before I have to recharge it. Anyways, I do think it's worth it. It is pretty expensive, but so far it has been worth every dime. My parent's Dyson vacuum has lasted decades... I hope this one lasts forever too. ... show more

    • Horrible Battery Life
Great vacuum cleaner. It's lightweight. Easy to use. I like the attachments and how easily to converts to a handheld vacuum. The suction is outstanding. Here is what I absolutely hate about it and what ruins everything else for me: the battery life. It lasts so little. Especially if you use the turbo option. It lasts less than 30 minutes. It's super disruptive when cleaning and you're stuck waiting for it to charge so you can continue using it. I have heard the Dyson V15's battery life is way better. I wish I would've gotten that instead. I know it's more expensive. It's a huge disappointment because this vacuum is not cheap. It's several hundred dollars. And I think it's so disrespectful to the consumer spending all this money on a vacuum cleaner for us to not be able to fully use it as intended because the manufacturer couldn't produce a better battery. Having to stop and recharge every 20 to 30 minutes is a joke. I'll be returning it. ... show more

    • Very very good and very very bad
Pros, lightweight, great suction, easy maneuvering. Cons, none of the above matter because the battery only lasts 15 minutes tops on high power. Also you have to hold the trigger style button down with your pointer finger and this stinks. I don't have arthritis or any issue with my hands but it's still painful to hold the trigger down constantly as I vacuum. I wind up having to switch for right to left arm back and forth over and over. I also would appreciate it if it was longer. I have to hunch to vacuum and I'm only 5 foot 8, but I admit I have this problem with almost all vacuums. So in a nutshell, I love it and hate it, and I'm writing this from the couch because I had enough juice to vacuum one bedroom and the dining room before the battery died. I'm waiting now for it to recharge which takes forever. If you're cleaning before company comes, you might want to make sure you have a backup cleaner because this shorty battery may not finish your job. Too expensive for something with so little range. I'm sending this back even though I got what I thought was a heck of a deal on prime day ... show more

This vacuum is amazing. It’s so handy and has a great suction. The charge will only get you thru one room, but that’s ok. I only bought it for quick clean ups. The suction is so powerful that I keep it on low for my rugs. Max setting is great for baseboard and window frames. I can easily get to my 10 ‘ ceiling with the handle. Also perfect for small spaces like cars , shelves and cabinet tops. All I have to do is remove the long handle. It vacuums up so well that I have to empty after every use. The canister is very easy to empty- just the push of a button. I’m so happy I have this. ... show more

I dont much care for the way you empty it. Needs a bigger cartridge to hold waste. Also, no deodorizer eith it.

Overall I'm happy with the vaccuum. Pros: Has great suction power, attachments are easy to change and stay put while cleaning. It's easy to empty the dust bin. It's easy to maneuver. Cons: I would have liked an on/off switch rather than having to constantly hold the trigger with my index finger. The unit does not stay upright/must be leaned in a corner or placed flat on the floor while pausing when cleaning. Battery power is limited. ... show more
