    • Works great, seals great and doesn't damage pipes!
Love these things. If I can help it I will never use anything else again. I have used both styles Butt joint( same OD to OD) and Lap joint (different OD's). On the Lap joints I use some extra exhaust sealant like Permatex 80335 Muffler and Tailpipe Sealer, 3 oz. not sure that it is needed but I like to do my best to make sure I do it right the first time so I don't have to go back and fix it or do it again! With these I tighten them down pretty sung, then after some driving and a few days latter I recheck and tighten if needed (looking for leaks too). These things are easy to use and seal very well with the added bonus of it you ever have to take them off you won't have damaged you pipes meaning more work to get them apart and together again! ... show more

    • Works great to patch small holes!
I bought this as a quick and dirty repair for a small hole in the exhaust of my '95 Chevy truck. A straight section of the intermediate pipe rusted through where the hanger was welded on to it. I used this clamp to patch the hole and some strapping to re-attach the pipe to the hanger. Works like a champ! Easy to install, no issues so far. ... show more

Great piece of equipment but rather poor description of the size. The fit would be better if it actually displayed the size of the clamp.

I have purchased several of these clamps in a variety of different sizes. I will never go back to using the old u-clamp stye again.

Didn't fit as snug as I would have liked but made it work could have been my exhaust measurement that caused the slight looseness

Perfect. stainless band clamp, makes exhaust fabrication FUN. I wish I had discovered this product 25 years ago. Strangely, the amazon description makes no mention of the SIZE. Nowhere in the sales description is this described as a 3 inch OD clamp.
