I bought this because of the reviews and after the first 2 nights we had to put a 2 in topper on to make it softer. Our backs still hurt most mornings. Hubby likes the firmer beds but this was to firm for him. I like softer and my back is the one that hurts more mornings then not.     • Firm, but not for long.

We are full time RVrs and we purchased this mattress in Nov 22’. The mattress is well made on the outside and fits the RV King area perfectly. However, over the last two months the mattresses support has started to deteriorate. The memory foam has gradually become matted down and no longer bounces back after getting out of bed. By morning my hips are well below the rest of my body. I have had to put a piece of foam to support my low back area to keep my body relatively flat and reduce restlessness due to discomfort. We rotated the mattress to see if my wife’s side was more supportive. Initially it was, but after a few weeks the same result with the foam breaking down. There are two areas where the foam has piled up. There is a firm area in the middle of the mattress and on the outer edges. It is hard to tell if the foam has been pushed into those areas or if they are still firm since they haven’t been laid on. I am 5’10 235lbs. I’m not a small guy but not a big one either. I would expect a mattress to not break down so soon. I will be contacting Dynasty first to see if this is a known problem or covered under warranty. Once the mattress expands all the way, it is heavy and tight in our RV. However, it is 1000% better than the mattress came with the RV. Wish we would have bought sooner.

    • Great RV Replacement Mattress

This mattress was purchased to replace the original mattress in our motorhome, which was past it's usefulness date. Shipping was quick for such a large item, came wrapped well in plastic and was easy to handle out of the box. We spread it out and allowed it to expand all day before we slept on it. This is a semi firm mattress (similar to our firm Tempur-Pedic mattress at home, although not quite that firm) and has a cooling cover. It sleeps great and we are very pleased with our purchase. We have a tilt-a-bed in our motorhome and the mattress does bend so we can tilt the bed and close the slide (with that being said, I wouldn't leave it tilted up for a long term as I feel like there would be a bend form in the memory foam).     • Relief for back pain!

OK - it's only been one night's sleep - but to wake up without ANY back pain after 2 years is miraculous! Once I turned 60, the back pain from arthritis started. My Chiro said I should sleep on my side; but it always felt like I was tensing my muscles to keep "balanced" in that position, and invariably, I'd end up sleeping more on my stomach, allowing my back to sag. And waking up each morning with back pain that made it almost impossible to bend over to pick up the dog's dish, for example. Pain killers helped a bit - but I don't like to take meds if I can avoid it. We bought a memory-foam mattress for our place in FL - and it felt like I tossed and turned less; but I was still lifting furniture, laying tile, etc; doing stuff that aggravated my back. Still woke up with back pain, although it seemed better. Came back to Michigan, and after yet another morning of abject pain, I ordered this Dynasty gel memory-foam mattress and gave it a day to "breathe" and fluff up to full size. (I decided to try the CoolBreeze gel, because the other "regular" memory foam bed we have is HOT.) The first thing I noticed as I climbed into bed, is that this seemed much softer than our other memory foam bed. All my life, I've been more comfortable in very firm beds, so I was a bit alarmed that I had made a mistake? I would liken it to a bag full of mashed potatoes...LOL! As I sank 3 or 4" into the bed, laying on my side, it felt comfy, though. And it must have been, because I only rolled over a few times (compared to dozens of times in the old bed) and I was able to remain sleeping on my side all night. What I didn't feel, until I got up this morning, was that my poor abused back muscles, got a good night's rest. I got up this morning - and the usual grinding pain was not there. Words simply can't explain the sheer joy of being pain-free! Now I'm not saying this has cured my back problems - I'll spread a bunch of mulch in the flower beds and I'll presume my back will hurt the next day. But if I could have a few pain-free days each week - it would be bliss! Regarding the CoolBreeze gel foam: this bed still gets too warm for my taste, by the middle of the night. I'll pull back the covers and let my fan cool off the bed for a few minutes - then go back to sleep. But it DOES feel cooler than the "regular" memory foam mattress we have in FL. I opted for the 10" thick mattress because the diagrams showed that the 12" mattress had an extra layer of "breathable foam" which I translate into "cheap egg-crate foam" and I worry might break down faster?? (Just my thoughts - no actual testimony regarding that yet) And there IS a slight "latex foam" smell to the mattress - as a rule, I HATE that smell, so have opted to not use the memory-foam pillow that came with the bed; but once the blankets are pulled up and my nose is in the air stream of my ever-present fan, I don't really notice the smell. I noticed on the pillow that it was made in China - I'm sure the mattress was, too. No matter to me - it was inexpensive enough that I'd be willing to replace it in a few years with the same thing - I could do that for a long time before I had spent as much as the "fancy" memory-foam beds cost. I should add that the outer cover is a nice combination of fabrics that aren't slippery (holds the mattress pad in place better) and can be zipped off to wash. And this is just speculation - but if I was a young newlywed (wink!) - I might not like a mattress this squishy? ... show more

Purchased for our RV and we kept it in the box until it was ready to be rolled out on the bed plateform. Mattress was pretty heavy and it took 2 of us to unwrap and roll it out. Mattress comes doubled over and tight rolled in a box. After we took the plastic cover off the mattress itself and rolled it out we found the center had a 2 inch puncture in it and we did not use any sharp objects removing the plastic. The mattress will need several hours to expand out and form correctly before you can sleep on it. The first night wasn't good but the second was a little better. Hoping after sitting a full week it will be even better. The fit was perfect for our king replacement size. Wish it was a little firmer but it may be after getting to sit a week not used. ... show more
