I needed a way to feed my small aquarium for 10 days. This will do the trick when using flake type of food. I only used it on batteries and it worked perfectly. Suggestion test the food output using the manual mode over a plate or other container and adjust the settings before actual use. This did work as it was intended, but you need to be careful with the size of hole you set. Sometimes a lot of fish food can come out. Use error. I was on vacation for a month and this was so useful. Battery life is amazing. Super easy to install, it has 2 different attachments depending on the tank you have. Easy to clean if it gets dirty(mine didn't). I love the way this feeder works but I've watched it many times and sometimes it lets out small amounts and other times large. Maybe crumbling up the food a little more for the big flakes is the problem? Overall it works well just try to test it out for consistency.

I bricked my old battery powered feeder by briefly dunking it, I did a lot of research and this was really the only viable wifi/plugged in option. I am actually very pleasantly surprised by its excellence and the value for money it represents, and I’m not easily impressed. So, the app is wonky and clearly built on very poorly translated Chinese, but once you figure out what certain misapplied words stand for it works well and captures a great longitudinal data log of all feedings, manual and auto. It can run on a usb-A wire alone and can also have AA back up if you want. You can pick up to six auto feeds per day but you can have your choice of multiple “shares” (intended to mean rotations of the feeder) per feeding. I’ve had about 200 rotations in the month I’ve owned it. Works reliably and flawlessly. So much better than having to change AA batteries monthly and also beats resetting the clock and reprogramming all feedings on a crappy black and white LCD screen every time like its competition. So yeah, spend the extra few bucks (or save a few, some of the battery non-wifi units cost more than this) and enjoy much less hassle and expense and track it all automatically to boot. Your anthias and chromis (certainly my bimacs and chromis love it!) will thank you for it in the form of possibly not dying for looking at them funny at least for awhile for it! ... show more

It’s convenient to set up and works as intended, but the design of opening the food lid is horrible. It’s so tightly fit that opening it will most likely result in mass overspill of food. If you want to add more food into the container, make sure it’s either empty or you do it inside the trash can

It was so unpredictable in the amount of food it dispensed. One time it gives you tons the next time hardly anything. My tank is a mess and one of my fish is dead. I have had multiple tanks over 40 years.
