My shop and office is located within my home with servers on line that need reliable power. So a generator for our business is a must. When I uncrated it, I was impressed how well the shipping packaging was and how easy it was to get it out of the box. It includes a large, nicely printed instruction manual with lots of pictures. Assembling the tires and handles was simple. I was impressed how it they balanced the weight when you grab the handles to move it. I also like the fact how they included different 220VAC plugs for the 30A and 50A circuit. I connected up the battery, put some fuel in it and it fired right up. I love the easy to read instrument panel and that they included a pull string just in case the battery was dead you can still start it. I also like it that there are LED lights on each 110VAC outlet to let you know that power is running to them. Can't go wrong buying this little jewel. Follow all directions and break it in as they say under a load then change the oil. I also run mine every three months and run the gas out. Remember the oil is the life blood of a engine. I keep my 10K in the garage and plane on getting a cover to have incase its being used outside in the rain and would love a faraday wrap for storage. ... show more

Generator doesn’t work. Customer service through Duromax gave me the run around long enough to miss my return window. First a new carburetor, then instructions to disconnect wires to make it run and no additional follow up from the company. Very disappointed and a huge waste of money.

After spending weeks looking into a number of generators, this was my choice because it was large enough to handle the circuits in our home we wanted covered, it was capable of running on propane or gas, it has electric start, and it was purchased at a very reasonable price. The ability to run on propane was very important to me. I find running on propane is more reliable then running on gas. It starts easier and there are no problems with gumming up the carburator or need to drain the gas tank. One last note: Since purchasing the generator, we have not experienced any power outages. I was looking for a generator that would be easy to operate and maintain. Once you receive this product in this manner you cannot return it unless there’s something mechanically wrong. It’s a “hazmat” type purchase. Do your homework thoroughly ahead of time. This product comes with substantial assembly requirements. It’s not for someone without proper tools or knowledge. The generator is huge and very heavy. It’s delivered on a palette. I needed assistance from a neighbor to simply unpack and begin assembly. You need to be able to flip it around to mount the wheels and handles. To operate safely an electrician is required for the plug. I’m upset I purchased this item this way because there’s no one to contact for professional assistance or to answer technical questions.
