I am not pleased with this air conditioner, it dose not cool the way it should. I expected more. The room I have it in is small, it's stays warm its was 84 degrees in this room yesterday.

    • Works well, it's not really all that portable
The only real difference between this and a normal window AC is that this sits inside, while the window AC is entirely in the window. You still need a window. If you want to move it, you have to take all the window stuff apart and move it. That's....a whole lot like a window AC. This does have wheels though, so there's that. This is good if you have windows that don't really support window AC units properly. I put this is my daughter's room. She insists on using a bedroom on the third floor of our old farmhouse. Every other bedroom is on the first or second floor, but she is a teenager and wants to be off by herself. Fine, but the temperature tends to be a bit different up there. If we left the central air running long enough to keep it cool up there, the first floor would be freezing. It would also cost a billion dollars per month. So, I put this in there. She has casement windows, and the window stuff didn't really work, but I made it work with some rigging. So, this is for 300 square feet. I mean 250. I mean 1125. The listing says all three. Her room is 20ftx20ft. That's 400 square feet, obviously. It cooled it just fine on the one day we've had above 80 this year so far. She had it blasting away, and it was much, much colder in her room that it was in the empty room across the hall. Now, this wasn't a blazingly hot summer day, but it should be fine on those days too. It has a remote! Somewhere. She's a teenager and already lost it in her room. I messed around with it for a few minutes before it disappeared into the void. It worked fine. The portable air conditioner handles what is listed on the specs and I am happy with it as it does perform as it claims. Like any other install except this AC Unit comes with everything you will need to install and get the project done. The AC is well designed throwing the cold air up towards the celling circulating the air through out your space. The Remote is easy to use and is responsive, since I obtained the AC I have set the temp once and since have performed excellent cooling the area with no problem and it is nice knowing I am ready for this years summer.     • Has to have the water drained daily
I was under the impression that I would not have to empty the water, especially every day or I would not have purchased this air conditioner. The bottom hose/spout is too low to just place a container under it and it leaked all over my floor. VERY INCONVENIENT! I would have returned it, but it is too heavy to lift myself and the package arrived damaged. ... show more

Even though our house is equipped with central air, on any given summer day, the upstairs is hotter than Satan‘s butt crack. Until now.     • Made in China. Must vent to the outside. AC only.
If you are unfamiliar with these types of portable air conditioners… You should know that the exhaust must be vented outside typically through window. This unit cannot be used in a room without a window to the outside. This unit is for smaller spaces only. But it works very well. Easy set up. I like that it has wheels so you can move it from room to room as necessary, though keep in mind you’re going to have to set up the window vent each time you move it. I like that there is not only touch controls on the unit itself, but it comes with a remote control. Relatively quiet. This is an air conditioning unit only.     • Loud - small room adequately
This cooling unit for 10k BTU is not as powerful in terms of cooling as I had hoped. It cools the room adequately given that there is a small-ish room. I was hoping it would cool the room much quicker seeing the BTU is quite high but it took a bit of time. The lowest temp it’ll go is 64f which is comfortable especially when trying to sleep. There was a smell when first hooking it up but that seemed to disappear after a time. The hook up was super easy and didn’t take that long. It is loud though so be prepared.
