This privacy film is thicker than similar products we’ve tried, which suggests it is higher quality and more durable. Like most privacy films, it is made of polyvinyl chloride. When the backing is peeled away and the film is placed on a moistened glass window, it will cling to the glass without glue. If installed correctly, it should remain affixed to the glass for a long time. My wife has placed privacy film on several windows in our home, so she was familiar with the process, and it took just a few minutes to cut and apply this film to a window in one of our bathrooms. The film comes with a soft cleaning cloth, a small metal ruler, and a retractable cutting blade that can be repurposed as a light-duty box cutter once the film is installed. It was easy to apply, and if you eventually want to replace it with some other design, the film peels off the glass even easier than it goes on. This privacy film looks best when direct sunlight shines through it, as the product description states. If you ignore this tip and assume that it will look just as good in indirect sunlight, you may be disappointed because the colorful, prism-like effect won’t happen, and you will end up with privacy film that looks like ordinary frosted glass with a texture. Even in direct sunlight, we found that the effect is not quite as colorful as shown in the product photos—it is more of a glittery prism effect than stained glass. It does let quite a bit of light into the room compared to more opaque “stained glass” privacy film, so if you like the prism effect and want more light coming into the room, this may be a good choice. ... show more

This film is easy to work with and apply. It does seem to help with the temperature in the room a little. The rainbow effect is really pretty during the day, it’s thick enough to give privacy, which was the main reason I ordered it, but lowering the temp a bit is a nice bonus during the summer months. ... show more

These window films are so easy to put up, and I love the size of this one, fits my windows very well. I love having rainbows in my room and feeling the difference in heat, they do a good job of blocking UVA/UVB rays and my living room is no longer a hot box.

The film is a nice thick quality. The prism effect is gorgeous when there is direct sunlight coming through the window. Installation took a minute to figure out as I've never done it, but once I got the hang of it, it went quickly. I did opt to use my own box cutter to cut the film as the one it comes with is a bit flimsy. It also requires a squeegee to install that is not included, which is why I took off a star. ... show more

This was a lot easier to apply than i originally thought. It’s very easy to move around as it just clings to the windows rather than being sticky. It came with all the tools you need which is so nice! It looks beautiful. I got this more as decoration than for privacy, and initially I just wanted to only add this to the tops of my windows so I could still see outside, but seeing how I can still see decently and how pretty this is I got more and added it to the bottoms of my windows too. When the sun is shining, it casts really pretty rainbows too :) I’m obsessed! I want to put it on all my windows now. ... show more
