I was a little skeptical about this when I first saw the advertisement. It dropped in price, actually lower than I even expected. I thought why not!! If it’s made for the landfill at least I didn’t spend my life savings on it. Right?!? It came in a “shoe box” in sections, no big deal. It was easy to assemble. The knots where you connect the links are very tough to undo. Which is great because at least it won’t pop off mid workout. But also a little touch to undo to get out of it 🙃. You can adjust your links so as your waistline gets smaller you can also make the circumference smaller. The weighted ball glides smoothly, however it is a bit noisy. But that is really not a big deal to me. It gives me something to focus on as the timer ticks down 🤣. The workout says 15 minutes with a 5 minute break in between. Easy, right? Holy Moly Guacamole!!!! It’s a legit workout. I can barely make it through the first 15 minutes. I’ve yet done the full 30 minutes w/5 minute break. I feel like I just spent a hour getting my booty kicked!! I’m working my way to get the full workout. Overall, its not a bad investment to keep in your workout room!! ... show more

This is a fun way to work out. Put on a show, music, podcast or a good audiobook (or read if your that skilled!) then get to work. I often forget that I am doing a work out. My kiddo is trying to learn to hula hoop and this is a fun way for us to both get a work out in while I teach her. It can be a challenge to do this if kiddos are around, mainly the smalls like my toddlers. They don't pay attention that a weighted ball is swinging around and can do some damage if they get in the way. They often throw off my groove by running through. It can be kinda noisy when you get started and when your in your groove but again have a good show or something on and it just becomes background noise. Super easy to put together. Taking links off is easy to do as well once you get the hang of it. At first I struggled to get them off. Thought I was going to be stuck in it forever. haha. Its easy to get it going. The best way I found was to have one foot more forward and shift your weight front to back vs trying to spin. Once you get it going you can try and shift your weight a different way to get a different work out or keep it front to back. Its a fun way to do a workout without it feeling like a workout. It seems pretty sturdy and well made. The weighted ball goes around pretty smoothly but will get sticky at some points. It seems to get stuck more when I am super bloated and the hoop is being pushed out a bit. The media could not be loaded. I’m obsessed! I don’t work out, never have, and can’t use a normal hula hoop to save my life. I randomly saw this and was intrigued so I bought it impulsively. As soon as it got here I assembled it and put it on and got started. Took me 10 mins to really get in a groove with it and be able to keep it going. I ended up doing it for 45 mins without even thinking! It is loud but honestly that helped me keep rhythm, zone out and not think about the time. Really got my blood pumping especially when I got it going faster for longer. I had seen reviews that people were bruised, so I ordered a Sweat Band with it and put that on under my shirt and it didn’t hurt or bruise me and helped work up a ton of sweat to ditch that water weight! I have a bad hip and it didn’t bother me at all, in fact I think it will help. I figured out a couple different methods so I can switch it up and it really does hit all the muscles from legs to core. My neck did get pretty tense but isn’t sore after. I’m sure I’ll get looser as I keep using it. I’m not terribly overweight but I am very out of shape, due to working from home and not exercising. I’m going to commit to using this for at least 30 mins a day 5x a week. I’ll try to update in a month with my progress! ... show more

Received it this morning, I was very excited, that it came before my workout. I put it together, very easy to assemble. As soon as I started it twirled a couple of times and got stuck, I repeated this a couple times, just to see if it needed to, idk work out some groves, but it continued to get stuck. I’ve seen this product all over the place lately. I was super curious and excited to try it out. It’s easy to put together, add/subtract links, and use. Once I started using it I realized how smooth the weight passed around the track when using. I used this for 30 minutes the first time and while it was gradual my legs started to burn, my tummy muscles were being used, and my hips, plus I started to break a sweat. Not sure if any loss was made around my waistline but this definitely kept me and my daughter laughing while keeping active! Easy to snap on/off sections to fit different waistlines. Made of thick durable material to withstand drops when switching between participants. Have to remember to hold weight or it will slide out when putting on/off. Would have liked a more neutral color. General idea is weighted hoola hoop but without the weight of it because of the hanging weight concept sliding as you move your hips around. Did not leave any bruising or indention on skin even without a shirt being on as a barrier. The media could not be loaded. I was really exited to try this out. I am rather disappointed. Haven't hula hooped since I was a kid, so needless to say its not like I've gotten that "rhythm" back yet. As such, any time the weight slows down and droops from horizontal, the wheels drop into the inner grooves and the bar drags on the link joints. At one point it jammed so sudden and hard that it swung up and hit me in the chest. The cord has also caught on the weight clip and is already damaged. I tried it out for a couple minutes after opening the box, but today was the first time putting it to actual use. It was used for maybe 20 minutes in total and already shows damage. (See photos).
